Ray and I have been talking off line about getting together for a scenic fall ride. This is a photo shooting trip, we plan on seeking the magic light of the early morning and quaint NE countryside. It looks like the projected foliage peak in CT is Oct 20-25.
Here is what we plan, and it all depends on weather. We have at this time blocked off the weekends of Oct 21,22 and Oct 28,29 as potential dates, we will make a final determination depending on how things look in the sky.
It has been a few years since I traveled this route, but the road I was thinking of is Route 49 between Sterling/Rte 14a and North Stonington/Rte 184. This runs through the Pachaug State Forest along the CT/RI boarder. It is very rural and listed as a "Scenic Highway" by the state of CT. Any other suggestions in this area about or to add to this plan would be appreciated, as would your company if you would like to join us.
So there are the plans. Out of the house early for a few hours of photography and then back home to play with the kids for the rest of the day. Let us know if you are interested in coming along.
