Folks waiting for the Astoria Drag Show to kick off. This was in 2016 and we have not had one since. So this was my first and last. It was crazy fun. Sony A7M II, Sony/Zeiss FE 55mm f/1.8 ZA.

I've kept the Heliar Classic 50mm on my M10 Monochrom since I remembered that I had it a week and some ago, carrying that camera (also fitted with a green filter) on most of my daily walks. I mostly keep the aperture between f/1.5 and f/2.8, and the library of Heliar 50 photos is building up slowly. 🙂

This was yesterday ... I stopped into the pho shop around the corner from me and had just a spring roll for lunch as it was too hot out to eat much, and certainly not a lot of hot soup. The empty table and chair by the window caught my eye. The lens caught it just as I'd visualized albeit this one took exposure compensation in the camera at about EV+1.3 and a little bit of rendering work to bring the lights and darks into balance. Focus was placed on the corner of the table.

Beautiful image. I like the Canon 50 1.4, but i use it so rarely i'll likely put it up for sale. I don't take it travelling....i use a 50 so rarely if i need one i take the Color Skopar 2.5. LTM
