VF for 25mm and 35mm

I'm thinking about purchasing the skopar 25/4 and nokton 35/1.2 in the near future, to use them on my M3. Is there a viewfinder that covers both focal lengths, or do I have to buy separate viewfinders?

VC has a very nice, very small 28/35 viewfinder. I don't have it here at hand, but since the difference between 28 en 25 is minimal, it might be that the full view is just right for 25 mm ? I'll try to remember and check this evening.

It's a squinty little thing, and the 28mm framelines are hard to see if you wear specs. Not that easy on the wallet either - you may find it cheaper to buy separate 25mm and 35mm finders.

Didn't one of the old Zeiss turret finders include both 25mm and 35mm framelines?

There's always the VC zoom finder which covers 15mm -> 35mm. Not cheap but it does look like a very nice piece of kit.

Well, I tried it and compared it with my 25mm CV viewfinder.

By moving my eye just a little bit left and right, the full view of the 28/35 corresponds very nicely with the 25mm.

It _is_ small, but that's just what I like about it, and now that I realize it, I can take it with my R3A or R3M and have framing aids 25-28-35-40-50-75-90.

It's correct that with glasses, it's probably not so convenient.

I recommend to buy two finders.

In the combined finders (for example the minifinder), I always find it hard to concentrate on the inner frameline, the outer one is very distractive. You wouldn't do the 35/1.2 justice.

Viewfinders don't have to cost a lot - for 35mm I use an Olympus VF-1, works very well.

I already thought about that olympus vf. Is it 4:3 ratio, as it is designed for micro four thirds? Or 3:2?

The R3A is a 1:1 viewfinder; the 28/35 vf has about the same magnification as the R4A (about .5 magnification).
