Voigtlander 21/4 Color-Skopar Photos

My friend, Yudith, and her cousin Jimmy about 45 minutes after the pig was brought on a lead rope to her mother's house in a small village in eastern Cuba. We spent a week with her family and bought the pig for $35 to help out with food. Yudith lives in Havana now but really shows her country upbringing with a knife and a pig. This was in the morning. We had pig liver and rice for lunch. That night 21 of her family members and I made soup with the whole pig's head in a kettle over an open fire down the river. Yes, much rum was involved.

The bucket she is holding for the intestines is the same one that we heat water in to dip shower in the morning.

Bob -- Great shot. Even better descriptions of the scene in general. The last bit about the bucket is the coup de grace.

Vince: thanks. My objective with photography is to communicate information about a vignette of people, time, and location. I find a few words often helps put the image into better perspective.

Don't try to reach any conclusions about skin tone rendering as Yudith is a mix of German, Jamaican, Spanish, and African.

I just picked up one of these little guys for use on my M240, I really enjoy it and the center image quality is excellent, but the borders of the frame... well, they're downright blurry, right out to f/16. Is this normal for this lens on digital? I can deal with the red edges, but complete lack of detail outside the center of the frame is a little problematic unless you compose to only have what's important in the middle.

Bessa R4M and Color Skopar 21mm f4.0.
This Miniature Wunderland in Hamburg - the ultimate model railway. This is but a small portion of it (at the moment it covers 13000 sq.ft and another 7000 is being added. The model trains are fun, but what really gets you is the attention to details!!! The R4M was propped on the low railing - aperture was probably around f8 or f11 and focus was set a closes distance (0.5 m).

Wow Tom great shot and being interested in trains as well great train
set up, I heard about that one there and it's stunning.

Range

Range, it is worth the trip to Hamburg for this alone. Something like 900 trains, a functioning air port, a harbour with 1.5" tidal movement. Absolutely stunning.

midnigth shopping & blur... suddenly the shutter brake on my IIIf failed (it was set too strong + it was really cold outside) and so all my slow speeds started acting as Bulb :bang:

not that bad, the wide focal length really helps, considering I exposed those for like 1-2 seconds while intoxicated :D
