Michael, just pull down the saturation to minimum, (or use the desaturate function in photoshop) easier than scanning all of it again. with native greyscale files you might be bothered by the fact that they look different in different applications.

Hey Micheal,
I've been thinking what lens I'll buy next..the ZM 25mm Biogon or this CV 35 1.2. It may be this one.

Hey guys thanks for the info....I'll try to play around with it in photoshop and see what I can do....I appreciate the advice....
Hey Ben, if I remember correctly you just bought a 50 plannar, I would think a 25 would pair up much better than a 35mm would....that said, the Nokton 1.2 is a hell of a lens and I would recommend picking one up and trying it out....If you don't end up liking it, you could always sell it and then get the 25.....but I do think a 25/50 combo would be sweet......anyways, it's a liitle funny talking about this via email, we freaking saw each other 5 days a week for more than a year out here in Bangkok.....By any chance did me bringing my Leicas to work everyday have some kind of effect on you, or is RFF responsible for this Interest in Leicas???
Cheers, Michael
P.s.....be careful around here, there is a terrible 'thing' floating around here called GAS.....before you know it you'll be sucked in

Mine came in today
Sadly my M6 is (stillllll) out on its CLA, that's a whole other story though. So, I have the beast mounted on my M3 to test out, actually balances nice on the heavy body. Running a quick cheap roll of BW400CN through it tonight so I can test it and make sure its A-OK, hoping so, and looking forward to the results, even from the test roll, which is usually just random junk shots to test focus.

with all the noise about the new version, it's good to see that the old one is still as good as i´t ever was.

Just bought this lens and am having serious issues with it. Is it supposed to play in the same league as the 35 Cron ASPH when stopped down to f/5.6 or f/8? My copy looks horrible next to the Cron. Sharpness wide open to f/2.8 is a joke....I need to do some testing but it may be back focusing a bit

test it and if it's really a lemon have it repaired / replaced on warranty?
mine is certainly not as brutally sharp as the asph summicron, but absolutely useable at all apertures, not horrible at all (I have used the asph cron).
