This is a super cute image I really like it. You should give her a print 🙂
She'll love it.
Maggie you are really getting some nice output from your M9!

Everyone is contributing beautiful images with this lens.

It's good! Better than my 1st version Summilux and almost as quick as the C Sonnar from Zeiss. I reckon once I have more experience with it, it'll be just as easy and speedy as anything.

Wow, great shots posted here, everyone (too many to mention individually after scrolling through all 3 pages' worth)

General impression is that the Nokton images very much like the Summilux ASPH, a very good price-to-performance ratio I'd say.

Thanks, Tokyoshooter! I think the combo of sharpness and bokeh makes this lens just outstanding. I think you'd have to go to a new asph Summilux to do any better.

Inspired by the looks of this lens, and by everyone's shots posted here, I have just purchased this lens in the chrome version.
Build quality is fantastic and it looks really good.
Here's the first obligatory picture of my dog! (sorry, Maggie, no cats...😀), taken @ f1,5 at a distance of 1,2m.

Congrats, tokyoshooter! I reckon you're going to love this lens.

Love your pup, too!!! I've yet to shoot any shots of the family mini schnauzer with my Nokton...but I will!

True, but the Nokton was widely considered to be 1 of the finest, if not the best, fast 50s of the 1950s. After Zeiss Ikon acquired Voigtlander, it was slated to replace the legendary 50/1.5 Sonnar for the Contax (though they discontinued that system before it happened) because it was both easier to make & it was better corrected than the Sonnar.

It's cool that Cosina revived the LTM version's unique form factor (& apparent super-nice build quality) for a modern audience. Now everybody thinks mine is the new lens!

Very interesting! Thanks for the comparison. The bokeh may me somewhat busier, but that image quality still remains very nice.
