Next week wake up early and take some photos.

The 4am Project is about using our cameras at 4am on the 4th day of the 4th month.

This project clearly didn't have any Asian input 🙄

In Japanese and Chinese, 4 is pronounced the same as "death". 444 is a most inauspicious number 😱😱😱

The Chinese (moreso than the Japanese) do take these things quite seriously too.

8:08 AM EDT (Friday, August 8, 2008)

The Opening Ceremony of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing is scheduled for 8:08 PM 8/8/08 and Beijing's time zone is 12 hours ahead of the Eastern time zone in the US.

(In case you're wondering about the start time/date, 8 is a lucky number in Chinese culture because it sounds similar to the word for "wealth" or "prosper".)
