I squeeze my photography into bits of time here and there so weekends aren't usually anything special, but last weekend my wife had a gang of women folk over for the entire 2 days. I escaped to Vancouver BC, the nearest large city, for a weekend of photography. Vancouver has changed immensely over the past 10 years and continues to do so. I have an interest in old industrial areas and Vancouver is gradually loosing theirs to the relentless march of gentrification. In the early 80's, during my first photographic career, I spent a bit of time taking pictures in an old warehouse district which has now been completely turned into high end condominum's, expensive lofts and equally expensive restaurants. I've always been glad I got the shots I did but I wish I took a lot more.
So I spent two gratifying days taking street shots. Went through 3 rolls of FP4 between my Canon GIII and Minolta SLR (28mm and 135mm). They joined 4 rolls of already undeveloped film so I am definitely going to have to make some time for the darkroom.
