Wow! Just...wow!

Yes :)

It's close to a 110 years old, takes 4 6x18cm negatives on a roll of 120 format film. 112 degree view-angle.
Probably needs a bit of a TLC :)

I was going to ask if it was 120. That's a distinct plus. Has the bellows been replaced at some point?

Can't wait for the results. Scanning might be a bit tricky.

My scanning frames for my HP G4050 can handle a strip of 3 x 6x6cm negatives. I think it'll be alright. Or I'll just keep the negatives flat with some plexiglass.

Originally they were for the 105 format film. With 120 you have to use the numbers 2, 6, 10 and 14 for the proper frame spacing.

Don't know about the bellows, the leather just looks dry. I know someone who has had to replace rotten ones on theirs, so that should not be an big hurdle if it comes to that.

Ah used tae stand and stare at this camera, in the local camera shop window - and wish...and wish...:)

Very nice! I saved money for a long time back in 1979 and got a brand new XG-2 and a 50/1.7. I would never have afforded a XD-7 and a 50/1.4...

Very nice!

I've got my eye on a good 124G. How does this one handle? They look better built then the G's.

I had a Yashica Mat (see pic below) before but it gradually feel apart :(

After handling the Yashica Mat 124, I would say if you are able to get a good copy, go for it.

It feels a bit heavier (might be the added meter and chrome bits), almost like a tank. The chrome film advance lever winds like a charm, tested all the shutter speeds (no problem at all).

I did read that the 124Gs had some plastic bits as compared to the chrome bits on the 124 (article here: http://www.yashicatlr.com/66ModelsPage4.html#yashicamat124g)

Pic of 124G here:

As you can see, the 124 does look more "bling" than 124G. I'm a retrogrouch myself so I am really glad I went for the 124 rather than the 124G
