What have you just BOUGHT?

After reading about the Pentax P3 over on the thread about what people think are the best bargain cameras, I stumbled upon one at the local thrift store for $15. I couldn't pass it up. It's such a solid little thing and it had a Pentax-A 1.7 50mm mounted. I've already run a roll through it and it is living up to it's reputation.

New Leica prices in US just dropped about 12% due to the strong dollar vs the euro... Good opportunity to click "Buy" for the 100mm Summicron-S, as with the price drop the level of GAS slightly exceeded my reluctance to spend! Probably will ship out on Monday...

had to buy another VCII meter for my M2 (fell off on the streets of Seattle).

That'll never happen with the Leica MR meter. A pin on it drops into the slot on the shutter speed dial so it would be impossible for it to come off.
It provides semi auto operation (take the reading and just set the aperture) and a good one can be had for less than a CV meter.
It also fits better on the camera.

Banning myself from ebay. Bought a Bessa R3a for cheap (did not think I'd win), don't need it so I guess I'll check it out (never used one before) before selling it on.

I keep buying stuff off that site not because I need it, but because the deal is just too good to pass up! I'm going cold turkey..

A Horseman 180mm lens with cam mounted on a Horseman board... but more importantly the shutter release cable that goes along with it.

Okay, so maybe I purchased the lens/board/cam purely for the cable. At least it was all cheap enough that I have a shot at breaking even selling the bits I don't need. 😉

1958 M2 arrived in the mail today from Sherry. She described it as mint and it has just been through her CLA. It is lovely but looks like a clone to my 1959 M2. Actually, I did not know the 1959 M2 was that nice.

I still love being asked "Do they still make film?".
