Plaubel Makina III. Always wanted one. An awesome shooter.I have had the accessories for a while.
I shot another roll through it today. And partially finished another. I just love the way the camera handles.
It does attract good attention out in public, People are genuinely interested and envious.

Tenba Photo/Laptop Messenger Bag

Tenba Photo/Laptop Messenger Bag

After years of admiring this camera bag, I got a Tenba Photo/Laptop Messenger Bag last week. Here it is: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/742823-REG/Tenba_638_362_Photo_Laptop_Messenger_Bag_Mini.html but Mine is in platinum (gray) color, not the olive pictured. It is wider at the bottom than a lot of messenger type camera bags, but this is a good thing - when you set it down, it does not flop over at the drop of a hat like a thin messenger bag does.

I am very pleased with this bag; the design and build quality are excellent.

A very nice Leica M2. And now, I think I am fully in sync with the "Leica thing"

This afternoon, as a storm approached, I put the camera strap over my head and took a few shots of the sky and surrounding area; after the last shot, I stood there in the front yard and just enjoyed to strong, cool breeze. It occurred to me, out of nowhere, that I did not mind, at all, the weight of the camera around my neck. In fact, I pretty much think I could handle it all day, every day. That has never happened with any other type or brand of camera.

I got me thinking about whether or not it was just my wanting the Leica to be a superior camera, or the camera actually being superior- even in the way it feels hanging off of my neck. ....Strange, and maybe pretty expensive.

Please forgive me Ken Rockwell. I never suspected it could happen to me.

I bought this original black paint Nikon SP from KEH Outlet. I probably spent too much for it, but I've wanted one for a long time. I don't mind the brassing. These were meant to be used.

Nikon FM2, Quantaray 100-300mm, about 20 rolls of old Fujichrome Superia and Misubishi MX-III. Yardsale special, $20 for all. Nikon seems to work perfectly, running a test roll now.

As the El Nino is coming to California, supposedly providing record breaking torrential rain to break our years long drought, I have decided to prepare for it with this chunky little munky

I had the 18-70mm lens but a few weeks ago it started to mess up...it would not zoom smoothly...I knew it would cost more to send it in than to replace it...so I started looking for a replacement lens...upon looking I found information on the 24-85mm zoom...I found one, bid on it and won...
So having another lens on the way I went ahead and looked into opening the 18-70mm to see if I could do something about the zoom problem...turns out it was an easy fix, just an interior screw that backed out...put it back together and all is working fine now...
The 24-85mm had a similar problem with the end elements being a bit loose...I did the same to it and I'm happy with the results...
The 24-85mm is an FX lens so I'll be able to use in on my other full frame cameras...
