What have you just BOUGHT?

Well...

Yesterday I bought an Olympus Infinity Stylus (MJU I) at a fairly local Pawn Shop for $10 USD.

Just as I had sworn off buying cameras for awhile, a deal came up that I could not refuse: A VERY clean Olympus XA w/ A11 Flash for $120 CAD (~$90 USD).

If I can restrain myself from purchasing another Olympus this week, my bank account will be happy 😀

I just sold my D7000 (along with several Nikon AF Lenses) this past weekend. It's a lovely camera that I used every single day for the past three years.

Unfortunately for it, my M3 has beaten the idea into my head that I need a smaller camera, so I'm moving into the Mirrorless club here very shortly.

I wouldn't mind a Leica M10 but I'd have to sell a kidney to afford one so I'm going for a Sony a7ii (and I'll still be able to use my Leica lenses) 😀

JROSE: Sony A7's (II and IIR) are amazingly good. You'll enjoy them. Then again, a film Leica is amazing, too.
That's what I've heard. I almost bought an a7 Monday but a friend convinced me that the second iteration is worth the extra cash. I think I'll keep stuffing the piggy bank until I can get myself an a7ii w/ the 24-70 kit lens.

JROSE: Let me add that having gone from Fuji X-PRO2 to Sony A7II, it's pretty much a lateral move that gains IBIS for adapted lenses... and worth it on that score. BUT the A7RII... that camera is amazing!! Bought an Open Box.... but the photos literally scream at you, "What else could you possibly ask for?" I run a collection of Zeiss Contax CY and Loxia primes on the camera.

What else? Oh... so I bought a film camera: Leica M4-2, Zeiss ZM 35/2, Zeiss ZM 50/2 and a Leica Tele-Elmarit 90mm with some B&W developing and bulk loading supplies. Film photography is fun! Digital is amazing, too.

I've been shooting mainly film for the past few years which is exactly why I sold my digital. Not even a day later, I was kind of regretting it and then I came across an a7ii at Best Buy. Does that camera every feel great in the hands... not to mentioned substantially smaller than my D7000 yet it has a full frame sensor!

Now I just need to muster up the courage to go grab one 😀

Casio Exilim compact for my kids to play around with.

Panasonic Lumix 3.5-5.6/12-32 Asph.
Olympus M-Zuiko 4-5.6/40-150

as a compact AF-set for my PEN E-P3.

A minty Mamiya Six AutoMat.

Haven't put any film through it yet. Still enjoying playing with it.

Flashpoint StreakLight 360 (Adorama version of the Godox AD360) with wireless power control and triggering. Powerful portable flash that. Makes my Nikon speedlights feel like toys. The powerpack for the Streaklight can power my SB24 for the times I want smaller and automatic exposure.

Leica VISOR 3.5-13.5cm VF
Leica ORAKO for IIIc/f
Leica A36 Filters x2
Leica FILCA cassette
Domke Gripper Wide straps x2

Total... 70$ at this weekends swap meet!

Nikon 45mm f2.8 P On my Nikon FM bodies this makes an extremely light and compact package. Had been thinking of this setup for some time but after using an Elmar 50 mm f3.5 collapsible on my M4-P lately, I like the benefits of going small & light.

Nikon PB-4 bellows with PS-4 slide copy adapter. Start of strategy to scan my old slides.
