Just arrived today - a Billingham Hadley Pro 2020 bag. My first real camera bag. I got it primarily for overseas travel as a carry on. Plenty of room for two cameras with lenses attached and an extra lens leaving plenty of room for other knick knacks and space designed for a small Mac computer or iPad. Well padded. Looks and feels durable.
No more wrapping my Leicas in bubble wrap and surrounding them with sweaters and t-shirts for protection…

I've had mine for years. The more they wear in, the better they look and work, but they just don't wear out! Cameras. I has it.
The cat wants to be photographed with the lens, surely.I already am enjoying it. Well, looking at it, cuddling it, stroking it, polishing it. The family cat is getting jealous.Mind you, I do not often polish the cat so she has nothing really to be jealous about.
Here was a 135/2.8 Orestor in Exakta mount that I somehow missed at KEH.

Whatever
Yet another Hasselblad 1000f camera added to the collection. It’s a very very nice 1956 model with an equally-nice 1957 12 back with matching insert and darkslide, plus the correct waist-level finder. It’s heading off to my 1000f guru soon for him to CLA and adapt to use the CFV II 50C digital back.
I also found a nice set of Series 9 closeup lenses for my 12.5cm f/2 Schneider-Gottingen Xenon lens. It took me a while to figure out exactly what size filters it took - 86mm kinda fits, but not completely right.
Finally, several boxes of Epson paper (Legacy Platine and Legacy Textured) and a few ink cartridges are on the way. Time to do some long-delayed printing.

This week I bought a 1986 Lubitel 166B. Seems to work well enough. I'll be trying to get more "primitive" quality images from it, which look a bit like stills from silent films. I do understand that there's more to that idea than just using it wide open and subject and framing are important.

Ordered a 10" mini-display with VGA and HDMI inputs ...
I need to keep my 2012 Mac mini alive and running Mojave so that I can run the image processing tool for the Light L16, and my now very very ancient Apple Thunderbolt Display 27" is failing. I've replaced the display already (refurb Apple Studio Display 27", 5K) for use on the 2018-19 mini, but the 2012 mini cannot drive it. I don't need to do much with the 2012 machine anymore, just process the Light L16 files to DNG format, and a little display that cost $70 is just fine for that.

I can honestly say I barely understood this. But you sound happy, so that's the main thing!
It's simple: the Light L16 camera requires its dedicated software (Lumen) to render its images at the best resolution and quallty. That software is very long out of date and cannot run on more recent versions of macOS, so I keep an oldish machine around with that software loaded. The display I was using for that system has died, so I've bought a small, inexpensive replacement.
Clear as mud, I expect.

This week I bought a mint, made in Britain decades ago, all metal 21mm push on lens hood for my Altissa Altix III. Luckily there aren't really any moving parts to go wrong, unlike the Lubitel 166B I bought last week which has already broken. It only cost £33.50 inc postage instead of the £70-£100 other Lubitel 166B's are listed for. It what was really just to see what they're like so I'm not too bothered, especially considering that I spent £15 on the new lens hood but it feels worth the money, unlike the Lubitel.

HFOOK rangefinder, with decently contrasty patch and complete with accessory shoe, calibrated in feet like the Elmar on my Leica 1. From MW Classic, who appear to be as shambolically organised as implied by their website. Maybe not as bad as the plethora of one-star reviews on Trustpilot would indicate, but be warned.

I can see using this thing would be a pain, but I suppose in 1927 it was the peak of camera technology. Focus with rangefinder, fish out specs, read distance on dial, set same on lens, remove specs, and look through viewfinder. By which time the subject has long gone.
The dial is a tad stiff for one-finger operation. Does anyone have any advice?
Note how rangefinder swivels just on the off-chance that you need access to the shutter speed dial.

Been threatening to do this for a couple of weeks, the recent "Coupled Rangefinders" thread didn't help and with my 60th birthday coming up on 9/30, I was trolling Ebay daily and bugging Sonnar_Brian just as often for advice
Well, last night I saw a screaming deal pop up on Ebay and put it on my watch list for when I got paid today. Then this morning I got an offer from the seller chopping another few bucks off and I'm like heck yeah.

I'm sure I'll be a hopeless wreck waiting for it to get here from Japan
I'll pop a roll of Illford XP2 in it and see what if how good a deal I got. Finding a yellow 43mm filter will probably be entertaining too...

Great! And happy birthday a little early -- hopefully it arrives before then. Just take care with that strap. Looks OK but you never know.

Yeah, I intend to put _that_ on the shelf. I have a nice Gordie neck strap that would work well on it I think instead
