What have you just BOUGHT?

neopanm5.jpg

10 rolls of Neopan SS arrived in the mail today, and then I stumbled upon a Leica M5 with 35mm and 50mm Summicrons and a 90mm Elmarit, except I have to return it soon 🙁

I bought a lovely black M6 TTL together with a new Voigtlander 35mm F1.4 Nokton Classic from Ffordes on Monday. They were delivered on Tuesday and i'll shoot my first roll at the weekend. Can't wait. I have been thinking about a Leica M for a long time!

Yashica 35 (needs repair)

Yashica 35 (needs repair)

I just bought a Yashica 35 (the first Yashica camera in the combined Yashica/Nicca company) in extremely rough shape. I mean really rough condition.
Who do you guys recommend to do a proper CLA, and clean up the lens (looks like separation issues) in USA or Canada?

Richard Dunkley's DVD "The Silver Footprint" - a brief biog of master printer Robin Bell, includes additional technical notes from the printer himself.

Excellent.

In addition to the user Yashica 35 I just bought, I also purchased a Yashica D, a Sunpak 544, 20 rolls of 135-36 Ilford HP5+, and a Tamrac Velocity 9 bag. All of them very usable.

On my way home from a meeting all day in Glendale I stopped by Samy's Camera in Pasadena and bought 20 rolls of Fuji Acros 100 in 120 format...
It was on my way home...I was in the area already...soooo I figure I saved money in the long run...that's my story and I'm sticking to it...

Minolta srT 102 with 58mm f/1.4 lens, another 58mm f/1.4 lens, and a 35mm f/2.8 Rokkor lens..

Got my eye on a Minolta Autocord............

"Paper Negative Photography" from Blurb. I'm pretty excited to get started with paper negatives with my 4x5 camera.

Another recent addition to my arsenal is a Pentax 645 with a 55mm/2.8 Takumar lens. This is a heavy clunker from the -80's. I love it.

Last night, en route to a restaurant, I stopped by a local bookstore. There I picked up a copy of Jonathan Eastland's "Leica M Compendium" for a mere 1,000 yen. This morning, I find that this book is sold on Amazon for over US$200! Why is this book so expensive on Amazon?

Olympus OM2 with winder, T20, T32 flashguns, TTL shoe and cord, random filters etc. and a Tamron adaptall lens. Needs light seals and I had to pay £30 for it, but the Tamron adaptor will net me some money back 🙂
