A $100 Rolleiflex 2.8C w/Xenotar in excellent condition. I wasn't actively looking for one but the C was high on my list to try at one point due to the faster lens and rounder bokeh. I'm still shooting my first roll with it.

I also picked up a parts Rollei 35 S for $2. The body is trashed (someone drilled a hole in the top, broke the pals it around the eyepiece) and the rewind release lever broken but the lens may make for a interesting project.

Thanks - I was exceptionally lucky with it.

The camera was listed on craigslist with a picture which made the model difficult to identify. It was described as in excellent condition with a few other rough details. I spent a long time reviewing the variations of the camera trying to identify the specific model.

I was surprised when I contacted the seller half a day later and found out that it hadn't sold - that I was the first to contact them to buy it at their listed price. I was shocked to both be right about the model and for the camera to be in excellent condition as described by the seller.

I think I spent all my buying luck on this one. ;)

Just got my first leica last week, it's ds m3. This week I got myself a very nice canon 50mm f1.5 ltm through this forum at a good price. I really love that m3+canon sonnar combo!!!

Decided to put a little meat on the bone of my digital discontent by joining the club rather than my habitual grumbling from the sidelines. An opportunity came my way, a brand new sony rx1 for 1299 euros from a local superstore out to rid itself of its pricier cameras.I looked; thought, and quickly left the shop...2 days later the shop declared a "TAX AMNESTY" which meant a furthur 21% reduction.Intrigued I returned to the shop to see if anyone had bought it ,no they hadnt,so I did,for 1075euros,paid 75 for a 3 year guarantee incase it was a dog and left the shop. The camera is perfect and Im still feeling a little surprised.

Zoom-Nikkor 50-135mm f/3.5 with Hoya M+HMC filter, lens case and broken Non-AI teleconverter rescued from a charity shop.

Apparently the lens is quite good.

A VALOO hood to replace the FISON on my elmar. (Oddly, I picked up the VALOO at a lower price than the FISON, which I also picked up a nice price.) The VALOO makes changing the f-stop a simple procedure, while with the FISON I had to reach into the lens face and move the f-stop with my fingernail. As of now I recommend the VALOO over the FISON, even though it makes the lens larger.

Two more Plaubel Makina 6x9cm Film Backs.
I have eight silver ones in 6x6cm and 6x9cm.
One can never have too many film backs.

Does anybody know the approximate age of these black backs?
I think they were made later, the film advance knob is less rounded,
and the backs have no mechanical wear at all. Does anybody here know?
Perhaps a Plaubel Makina User/Collector? :D
