I'm expecting delivery of a 50 Rigid Version 1 from Frocal Point. I had John recoat the front element and overhaul the lens to clean out the haze. I originally bought this lens about 5 years ago for only $499.00 as a mispricing.
What I love about this old lens is the distance scale on my Rigid is marked in feet only.

I had John do a rigid Summicron V1 for me years ago, and I was absolutely delighted with the results.
Like a new lens, really.

Waiting for a Nikon FG coming this Friday, will be happy to receive it. I have wanted one for a couple years. Hope too also find a Pentax ME or MX also for the size. Will use the Nikkor 50 AIS, f1.8 I already have. Hope to try it out this week-end.

I finally found an OM-1 with a working meter! And it's the non-MD original version. The prism has a bit of the foam rot, but if it gets to be too aggravating, I can always swap out the one in the junk OM-1 MD I have. Last camera body I'll be chasing down for a while.

Just bought a Nikkor 10.5cm f2.5 LTM with Leica brand M adapter and 35mm Summicron V1 from a friend. The Nikkor is in superb condition with hood and Finder and the Summicron is very nice condition with excellent glass and a few minor marks on the chrome. The 35 went out today for a full CLA at Youxin Ye's. The lens has some haze and the focusing helix is very stiff. Mr Ye should have no problem putting it in 1st class shape. My wife also gave me a new ZM 50 Planar last week for my birthday. What a sweet wife!

I remember your delight way back when back in a thread about your Rigid.
My front element displayed no "cleaning marks" but showed tiny pin prick holes in the front coating with a super bright LED flashlight.
John's turnaround time was remarkably fast. I guess I hit the timing right where he was close to filling that vacuum deposition chamber.
My version 1 Rigid was already a very clean sample.

Topcor was made by Topcon, a postwar mfgr of lenses, later part of Beseler. Think Topcon Super D. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TopconCanon VT with 50mm f1.2 lens and correct shade in its correct leather case.

Finally at home...
Two Nikons (F-801s and Df) and 6 lenses (AF 1.8/28, 24-120, 28-85, 80-200, 75-300; MF 2.8/60-120).

Hi,
Is the printing on the box cap in black or "gold"?
I'm hoping the two have always been together and so I can sort out this minor detail. It's like the red paint on the FILCA cans...

A chrome 43/1.9 Pentax-L with 43/50 finder, box, LTM adapter and caps.
This lens is kinda perfect with my 0.85 MP with the 75mm frames stripped out. the 43mm frames are the entire frame so the external VF'er isn't needed.

Cal, I think you will like this lens a lot, it's brilliant. And on the rare side, especially in silver finish. Only 2000 of these (800 silver, 1200 black) were made. The initial retail price in Japan was about $1385. The lens shows a bit of barrel distortion.A chrome 43/1.9 Pentax-L with 43/50 finder, box, LTM adapter and caps.
