What have you just BOUGHT?

DAG CLAs for a Summicron 35 v1 and Summicron DR. Not cheap and still untested - hopefully I can do some shooting this weekend - but it was worth it.

I'd been considering having it done for over a year. If nothing else, its worth knowing that each lens is as good as it'll get (and both were already solid). And its nice knowing that they'll be in good shape for a while.

Nice, I am waiting for a Contax adapter for my Fuji for a 50mm f1.5 Sonnar too. Should have it in a day or two.

Shawn, If it's shipping from Venezuela I advise being patient. Fedex is only picking up from the shop one or two days a week and there are delays after that. Amedeo Muscelli is a great guy but he didn't have the Fuji adapter in Miami where he and his family are now living and it had to be shipped from Venezuela.

Thanks for the info. The Amedeo adapters look great. I figured if I was going to get one of them I'd just get the M mount for future flexibility.

For this I went with one of the adapters from the Ukraine that is a combo of a Kiev helicoil and a screw mount to FX adapter. It arrived today and looks good and came with a mint Jupiter 8.

Just got a Leica M7 with the Zeiss 35 f2 biogon. Not the conventional M6 or M3, but I figured some level of automation can't hurt. Traded a D750, F3, Nikon 20mm AFD, and 28mm 2.8 AIS. Quite liking the two tone look as well.

I will have to see about fixing the filter ring. Looks like that occurred during shipping.

Rangefinder works (and is accurate for infinity), shutter is firing at all speeds and sounds close, winder and counter are working, and the lens looks clear. The self timer is supposed to be stuck so I haven't tried that as I don't want to jam up the camera. Going to clean it up a bit more and will be starting a roll today. Should end up with around 50 shots (24x24) on a 36 exp. role.

The old Zeiss stuff is really nice. I just got a Contax II with 50mm Sonnar, both from '36. Surprisingly sharp. I shot it for a week, alongside an M3, and I can't say I preferred the Leica that much more. Fun shooting experience too.

Tenax II is one of my all time favourite cameras. I find it to be a tremendous pleasure to use. My example came with 4cm/2.8 Tessar lens, and I like the end result as much, as I like shooting experience. I woudn't mind finding another one, fitted with a Sonnar, but I am not actively hunting for it.
