What have you just BOUGHT?

I've just bought s et of 37mm push on filters for my Welta Weltax:

There is more difference between the Red and Orange than this pic would suggest.
There is a milled ring around the outer edge which cuts down the amount fo area the lens hood has to grip onto, making it a little easier for it to fall off should it decide to do so.

I also bought A Minolta 110 zoom slr mk2. I was going to use a pic or two form the ebay listing but ebay has de-listed it so i can't get to those pics and I've not taken any of it yet.

It came with a strap, a never-ready case, a lens hood, a lens cap, a hoya skyilght 1b (probably only coated as it doesn't say 'HMC' on the side) and the hand grip which for me makes the ruddy ting actually usable-too small otherwise.

It's in almost new condition and seems to be working properly and all for £29.95 inc p+p.

Forced by the imposibility of having my quarter plate sheets developed in my lab, I've plunged into the film developing: a Paterson tank, R09 developer, stop bath, fixer, a changing bag and several auxiliary pots. Last time I did it was helping my brother when I was 12 or 13, arround 1985 😀.

A mk. 2 is a rare one. Well done.

I bought a working Minolta Zoom 110 SLR mk. 1 a month or so ago. I spent more for the battery than for the camera. It took a lot of cleaning up because the previous owner was a smoker and the camera had a coating of yellowish cigarette smoke all over it except the front lens (lens cap protected that). The first roll through it came out great too. I thought about putting a picture of it up here, but it looks like all the other mk. 1's.

You've got me curious to add a mk. 2 to my collection of little 110's now. 🙂

Not exactly bought, but I'm now backing Kamlan's latest Kickstarter campaign for their 28mm f/1.4 lens (as a discount combo deal with the 50mm f/1.1 - $259 for the pair seems a pretty atractive price). My Fuji X-T1 is going to be a spoilt little camera.

After searching for over 20 yrs, I recently found a Minesix IIIS, mid 50's Japanese folder, with a 75/3.5 Zunow Zuminor lens. Nothing extraordinarily different from most of the the 6X6 folders from this era other than potentially the optic. Won't be able to test as the bellows are badly deteriorated and need to be replaced, although the rest of the camera is in pristine condition. I'm hoping at some point in finding someone who would be able to do the bellows replacement.

This model preceded the much more seen Minesix 66 from Takane, which was at the time the only Japanese folder to have a built in exposure meter.

It would be fun to see if the optical greatness of the Zunow lenses applied to this optic. I have many folders in my collection and will have to say one of my favorites is the 66 Model which sports an optic from Asahi. Not sure why Takane moved away from the Zunow lens for this model unless of availability. It seems the history of some of these smaller Japanese companies is still sketchy and may never come to light.

Ultimately gave mine to my nephew for his photography degree. I can highly recommend the 105mm f/3.5 DS - and, perhaps, a Sherpa to do the carrying.
 
In the last few weeks I’ve picked up a small kit of Canon FD gear - a New F-1 with AE finder and motor, a T-90, 50/1.4, 50/1.8, 100/2.8 and 35-70/4. I have always been a Nikon shooter but have wanted these for years, just because.

There's one on ebay for £49.99, but it's got a thick layer of dust on it and Etsy has two clean ones, one for £85 +£36 p+p and one for £130.39 + £18.56 p+p.

The one on ebay isn't too bad a price, but it'd need a severe cleaning to get me interested.

Someone's trying to sell a boxed mk1 on ebay for £186!😱
