What have you just BOUGHT?

This morning I pressed the button on a black OM-1 with 50mm f/1.8 on Kijiji.

Then later in the morning I walked into a local antique shop and found ANOTHER black OM-1 with 50mm f/1.4, 28mm f/3.5 and an Olympus zoom and extension tubes and walked out with it.

Did not plan that.

Two boxes of J.Lane dry plates, one in 9x12cm and another in 4x5. That makes 20 plates. I hope they arrive before Easter holidays.

A mint Voigtlander 50/1.5 VM Nokton. Would have loved the chrome version but got a black one for A$675. Did the usual focus test with my Leica M-E on the tip of the wife noses. Spot on.

A large 13x18 wood German reisekamera of unknown manufacturer, with a Rodenstock Recti-aplanat f8 lens. The shutter is of roller blind type and also German made.

I got this really clean Tower 45 from the Leica Shop Vienna. There was a problem with the film advance when I first tried it, and they paid for the return shipping, repaired it, and got it back to me in 10 days.

A motor drive and hand grip for my Leica R7 in excellent condition (I'll check when it arrives) for £31 on Ebay (plus postage from Italy). If it turns up as described I'll be pretty chuffed.

Arrived in perfect condition. Now I've switched it from multiple exposure mode (I have about 10 exposures on one frame) it is also working perfectly. With 6 AA batteries though, it's heavy.

Also found a reasonably priced 100mm Macro-Elmarit R f4 with bellows. I think that pretty much completes the R7 expenditure!

Just bought Leica i model C std black/nickel with kit (Elmar 5cm f3.5 KUP 11-BP) included original leather case. All for 300€.

Great camera in beautiful shape. They are lots of fun, enjoy it.

A cheap 35mm P&S (Quantaray) because it doesn't have DX ISO setting! Oh...and a countertop icemaker so I have a supply of ice for my home made water chiller. The mini fridge idea didn't work!

Yesterday I purchased a Fujinon XF 50/2 R WR lens.

This completes my ‘Fujicron’ line up of lenses. I am working with the 18, 23, 35 and 50 F2 XF primes. Most Fuji owners don't consider the 18/2 'Fujicron' since it is not weather resistant. I'm thinking about the size, weight and maximum aperture. I also own the 27/2.8 and 14/2.8 lenses, but I rarely use these.

The 50/2 was on my list since it was first released. Last weekend I received an unexpected invitation to attend sport car race weekend at Virginia International Raceway. A short telephoto lens will be perfect for candids of race teams and spectators in the paddock. I'm not interested in photographing cars on track.

Since the X-Pro 2 OVF finder frame lines have two magnification modes (0.36X and 0.60X), I plan to initially use the OVF. I suspect even with 0.60X magnification, the OVF focusing could be less effective compared to EVF mode at this angle of view.
