What have you just BOUGHT?

Could I get comments on this camera?

It looks like it's been well cared for, but that could also mean sitting neglected on a shelf for decades. Probably factor in a CLA for both lens and body. I'm always suspicious when a simple mechanical camera is listed as "untested"; how much effort does it take to cock and fire the shutter through the range of speeds?
This could be a good price (but not a great price). Personally, I would skip it, despite the temptation, and purchase through an experienced dealer who knows Leicas and can offer a warranty, Tamarkin for example. My advice is very subjective, but I've been burned many times, and this particular camera is a sizeable chunk of money. Caveat emptor.

35mm Summicron (seventies' 6 element version). A very expensive cure to the problem of detaching an LTM lens on an M Leica, where the lens unscrews itself leaving behind an inaccessible adapter.

The IROOA hood I already had (it came with a DR 'cron). The hood which came, unwontedly (it wasn't advertised) with this purchase seems to have been whacked by a hammer- please God not while it was attached to this lens.

Congratulations! The 6 element Summicron is an excellent lens for b/w and I used one for a long time. Nothing I used after had those tones including the Summilux Asph.

Arrived over the weekend; A rather larger rear-cap for my VC 15mm f/4.5 Super Wide-Heliar. ;)

This week I bought a cheap plain 6x9 focusing screen for part of an experiment I'll be doing once I've sorted out a puzzling detail.

2023 became, for me, the year of the Contax rangefinder. The image is of my last purchase of a Zeiss Planar 2.8/35 that came with a Contax IIa and stuff. Earlier this year it was a Zeiss Biogon 2.8/35 that came attached to a Contax IIIa, and before that, a Zeiss 2/50 Sonnar attached to another Contax IIa. The first IIa is an excellent shooter in good cosmetic condition. The IIIa looks good but is non-functional, and I haven't tested this last IIa yet.

From the first negative above on the light pad (top left). This neg I believe is from my late-Dad's Kodak Hawkeye Folder which took 118 film I believe (3 1/4 x 4 1/4 negative size). I still have the camera.

I took a photo of the neg on the light pad with my iPhone 11, Air Dropped it to my iMac, then opened in the "Preview" app and inverted the image with some adjustments. Not sure why it came out slightly Sepia. Can't get rid of the Sepia tint from the slider. Oh well... I'll work on it...

I like it -- the sepia-ish tone looks good. Which one are you, what year?
Thanks. I'm not in this one. This is my Uncle and Aunt with my cousins and sister. Probably 1956-57'ish?*
(*Correction- it is me on the right I think. Not sure what's up with that top?). Maybe 1959 then.

Me with my Mom holding me on the right:

Three 39mm yellow filters from Jack the Hat. It's probably some sort of sacrilege mounting these on Leica lenses, but with the real thing at £130 a pop, I'll take the risk.
