What have you just BOUGHT?

I have done this emergency adapter:

So I tested the setup in my M8 and set the lens to infinite. The rangefinder patch is ok. But the the picture taken is focused to ±1 meter.... So I think I have to play with shims to get the lens farther from the mount.
Other way around. If it does not reach infinity the lens needs to sit closer.

A very nice Wirgin Gewirette and a Certo Dollina. This wirgin is tiny.
Certo made some very nice cameras. I have a Dolly, half-frame on 127, f3.5 Tessar, with the facility to fit a plate back - highly engineered, and rather nice to use.

There's a photo of Tony Vaccaro out there sat on the wing of a crashed B17 (YB-40?) holding a Dollina if you are not familiar with it.

I took a risk on an AliExpress camera case guessing it would do a good job of protecting a Barnack with Elmar in a bag or pocket. It is soft and protective and has magnet fasteners. It is almost ideal:

The only downside is that it is a strange fabric that resembles a glitter ball when viewed from an angle.

I have tried it on I, II, III and IIf and it is a bit snug on the IIf, being bigger with lugs, but it still fits.

I also bought this adapter for when you don’t quite have the right lens.

A vintage Rolleiflex strap with extremely tattered (and thus dangerous) leather. And some rivets and a rivet punch.

Wanted to salvage the clamps of the original to freshen up my "Luigi Rolleiflex Rallye Strap" which I absolutely love. After 10 years of hard use that love showed and the clamps were nearly worn through, the leather is still perfect though! I think the 3rd party clamps wear quicker than the original ones. We'll see!

Not the most proficient job, since I am not very experienced with leather and rivet removal. But I think it'll get the job done.

Still waiting for all of it to arrive in the mail, but I picked up a few items this week.

(1) Nikon DR-3 right-angle viewfinder, which I plan to use with my FA and my Bessa R3A.

(2) 5-pack of Kodak Gold 200 in 120, most likely will all be shot on my RZ67.

(3) 10-pack of Kodak Vision3 500T for only $7 per roll, and it’s fresh stock.

Where you'd get the Vision3 500T - I assume it's the new one with the integrated anti-halation layer? I am eager to try it myself and see if I can wean myself off Portra which is just ridiculous now price-wise.

I found a shop in Europe but they charge more than that.

Are you in the EU or in US/Canada currently? I buy it from a place in Pennsylvania in the US called Dirt Cheap Film, what I believe they’ve done is basically they purchased dozens of 400 foot spools each of 50D/200T/250D/500T/XX and then they’ve reloaded them into used 35mm cassettes. It’s the previous remjet version, but they bulk purchased just before cinema film respoolers got cut off by Kodak in favor of verified motion picture customers, so it’s all fresh stock with expirations in 2026-2027. They also have done a run of the new version without remjet but it’s more expensive. They also reload other bulk films and offer generous prices for the other Kodak and Ilford offerings.

Thank you for your detailed reply! Much appreciated.
I am in Japan, but at least checking on their website quickly from work it seems that they would ship internationally.

Would like to give the non-remjet version a spin, since even more expensive it will still likely be cheaper than Portra.

I had a peek and found to my surprise that lots of it is available in Vietnam -all repackaged, some expired but also fresh stock with prices ranging from just under $7 up to over $9 a roll. I'd be curious to see some sample photos! Cheers, OtL
I'm planning to use a roll later in December at a busy indoor market here in the US that has a lot of neon lighting and vibrant signs, so I think that will be an ideal use for it. I might also take it for a spin at a local food hall that has a similar vibe.

film tank, no water leaks, decent build, $33 (Amazon) seems like good deal to replace Paterson (lost in move).
haven't shot a roll yet (plus box makes good lens tester for 105/2.5 pre-ai on re-bought D50 Nikon)

I need desperately one of these.
Mine has a crack from top to bottom and I have used tape and epoxy glue but I'm scared to tap it firmly.

What's the brand and size? I'm heading for Wolverhampton camera fair on Sunday 7th to see if I can find a shutter for my Franka - I can take a look there. Or I can ask our localish shop (yes, we have one!) for you?

I said I wasn't interested in this camera. I had no intentions of buying this camera. Then I held it in my hands.
I bought a Fujifilm GFX100RF and after one day out shooting with it I'm glad I did!

*That's not the strap that came with the camera.

All the best,
Mike
Very nice. Have you tried the Xpan simulation?
