What have you just BOUGHT?

I said I wasn't interested in this camera. I had no intentions of buying this camera. Then I held it in my hands.
I bought a Fujifilm GFX100RF and after one day out shooting with it I'm glad I did!

*That's not the strap that came with the camera.

All the best,
Mike
Good luck with it, Mike. I'll be interested to see what you do with it.

I've been experimenting with the Hasselblad SWC/M and digital back which nets a similar "fixed lens, 28mm FoV" camera, although the camera's shape and ergonomics are rather different. 🙂

Two items, two different sources both shipped and expected this week.

Zeiss 85/4 Tele-Tessar ZM lens. A lens I've been thinking about for a long time. I seldom use the 85/90 focal lengths so it was never a priority. Then KEH had a LN minus model on their 20 percent off sale. I've become a Zeiss aficionado in the last few years. So....

I have a couple of old Zeiss 50/2 Sonnar lenses for Contax and several FSO lenses for Kiev. Decided to try them out on the Nikon Z so I ordered the Fotodiox Contax RF to Nikon Z adapter. Just a wild hair moment.

Not bought as such, but about a week ago a large parcel arrived. I assumed it was an early birthday present, & ignored it. Today I opened it to find a Nikon D7000 and Tamron 17-50mm lens! Also a note from Nick the Nikon, which is well worth a read. I may change my strapline to match a phrase in it!

I'm fairly certain it's no-one here, the list of people here with my address can be counted on my thumbs, but still a very pleasant surprise.

Should be nice pairings. Good luck!

Used Pentax KX 35mm film SLR

$105 plus shipping from an eBay seller in Japan

My wife gave up using her K1000 years ago when she could no longer read the dials without reading glasses.
The KX has a full information viewfinder; one can operate the dials by feel and see the settings in the viewfinder.

It's a 50 year-old camera, so off it goes to Eric Hendrickson to ensure reliable service for decades to come...

Sad to report but the lovely Olympus E-420 kindly gifted to me last Xmas from here was stolen from the car 2 nights ago, it had the 14-42mm kit lens attached which I bought for it, plus a 2GB XD and a 2GB CF Card installed!

Luckily no pics on it as it had been cleared and no real monetary loss but I'm gutted as it was a real gem of a kit and perfect to be carried in the car all the time, I really did like it.

To ease my pain I picked this up earlier to match up to the Olympus E-450 that came with the 2 lenses I bought for the E-420, the camera was basically free so was sat in the bag it came in, this lens was from a local retail shop which doesn't have the best reputation so took a chance as strangley they wouldn't let me handle the lens to properly check it, but it had both official caps and the hood so for the asking £30, I dipped my toe.

For some strange reason it was dirty inside the lens but fortunately the front just unscrewed with a rubber tool and was able to clean the offending glass, now it's all clean and looks the part, ready to go and yes I'll never buy from the same shop again!

Sorry to hear that. Where are you located that people break in your car and steal a camera, that has low resale value?
