What is your most tactile camera

My Nikon FM...Everything I need falls to hand quickly and easily. Size is just right for me, too.

For pure fondle pleasure - top is my Contax G2 and close behind is the Mamiya 7 II. Actually, they're both good cameras too.

Dang! I forgot the Hasselblad 500cm. Have to add it to the list. I think it's complete now.

I loved that machine. It proclaimed the shot with a forceful and sonorous k'shlock. And then you checked the scene, looking over the camera while winding film and shutter. After 12 shots, in went the dark slide, the magazine clicked off, and you snapped on a fresh back. On the Planar, you chose an EV value, and then you could choose the speed or the aperture required. Panning disoriented me so much I still have trouble distinguishing left from right. Slow and ponderous and heavy, but still elegant, in a primitive sort of way.

fifteen years on, I still dream of it.

For just amazing tactile feel (with odd ergonomics) the Kodak Medalist II is way up there.

Other favorites: Rollei 35s, Nikon F3/F5, Mamiya Six, Kodak Monitor, Konica IIIA and Bronica RF645.

Leica M7 felt great but I hated using it.
Hasselblads
Nikon F6, F100, F4, FE2, F3
Contax T2, G2
Pentax LX

Contax RX is pretty terrific. And it sounds amazing, too.

Winding the film and feeling the shutter cocking at the and of the lever travel on my M2 is pure joy every time it happens.

Pentax LX -- there just is no 'nicer' camera. Even a Leica feels slightly cheaper in comparison.

Nevertheless, I use my Leicas (M6 and MD-2) but not the LX anymore. Film today means rangefinder or medium format cameras for me, and SLR means digital.

I'm with the Leica III brigade. I have gradually "regressed" from a IIIf to a IIIc to a black and nickel III, which has a lovely look and feel. I also thought JoeV's small essay on the subject was beautifully written. If I may be allowed a pun, there was a suggestion of "Shades of Grey"...

I have an Olympus Stylus point and shoot, Canon EOS 3, and Voigtlander R3A.

Only the R3A actually elicits a tactile feel that I truly enjoy when using.

Nikon F2T with Nikkor 28/2.8 AIS. The perfect size, weight and ergonomics.

Ebony 45SU. Like an interactive sculpture.

Zorki-1 and Olympus PEN FT feel really good in my hands.

Kiev-4a just became my favourtite winter 35mm camera. I can run around without lens cap, and don't worry about uneven exposure/capping caused by neither non-ideal lubrication nor finger touching spinning speed dial. Knobs are big and suitable for shooting with gloves on.
