What is your one favorite camera as of right now?

A Tie, Stereo Realist Custom And Bell and Howell Foton. Both outperform the various Leicas and other assorted cameras. The Realist Custom has the best “feel” of any camera I have.

Favorite camera depends on the circumstances of use, for me most often compactness and usability of old manual lenses are of important. For being a rather old camera my possibly unlikely choice is Sony NEX5n with it's optional EVF

My favorite camera, since I got it about 10 years ago now, is my Nikon FE, almost exclusively with a 50mm f/1.4 AI-S lens. Everything I need and (more importantly) nothing I don't, with Nikon's unbeatable combination of refinement and ruggedness. It's my Excalibur—every time I shoot with it, I feel as King Arthur must have felt when he received his sword from the Lady of the Lake.

Leica M2 and Canon 7Sz. The Leica invariably wins out when trying to focus in dark places. The Canon is a solid performer and has an excellent rangefinder but is plagued by a "halo" around the rangefinder patch that is irritating. Other than that the Canon will keep ticking without fail and the stainless steel shutter is burn proof. Don't count on the CDS exposure meter which in my case was not working when purchased.

Original answer: Fujifilm X-Pro1
Today’s answer: Fujifilm X-Pro2
Probable future answer: X-Pro3

Just got me a new (to me) Leica after a 2 year hiatus. I got a Leica M 262, which is the stripped down M 240. No video, no live view. Just the way I like it.

Undoubtedly my Hasselblad SWC/M just been scanning images from a dozen rolls and every time I see the images I am astounded by the Zeiss results. It is a fantastic camera. It will be buried with me, set at 1/125th F8.......

I see I answered way back in 2014 that the SD1000 was my favorite.
Fast forward to 2019 and the SD1k is still there, on my desk, waiting to be grabbed in an instant. But for 2019, the Sony A7ii w/Nikkor 24mm lens has been replaced with an A7iii w/FE28/2 lens. I've only had it a couple weeks so not quite as comfortable yet as the A7ii was/is, but it's getting there with more use.
