The vi-l is sort-of a step back from the P's you enjoy so much. It is a very nice camera. One of these days, when I have too much spare cash 😀 ... yeh, sure.. I'd like to also add an L-1 to the collection. It has eluded me so far, and times are tough and tight. Also, I've been buying Contax, which is a change of pace, and venue. On that note, I own a III (shutter ribbons broke on me few months ago, so due for a visit to Henry), a IIa BD in nice shape, a lovely IIIa, and another on the way that should be almost as nice. They are different, but those lenses just make the difference.
It is interesting to actually handle the cameras from the SII through the 7sZ. They are a pretty logical evolution, especially when you consider the Leica historical timeline, as well.
Was in Maine this morning, but after lunch the hail started, and we drove home part way in driving snow. So much for those photo ops :bang: . I got a bit of exercise carrying gear in and aoaut of the house.
Now that you have enough P's, think carefully about the next purchase. I would suggest either a vi-l/vi-t or the L-1 as different but close, and a IVSb2 as a chaser.
It never ends... Long Live GAS !!
