The latest rumour suggest a 4k viewfinder but little else information about what an updates X-T1 would have.

I bought an XPro-1 a few months ago and, at the time, I knew there were rumours of a replacement, maybe "full frame", maybe with a better viewfinder, maybe with lenses that don't "chatter" when you focus them. So what? If we're always waiting for the next upgrade - particularly with digital cameras being superseded every 12-24 months - we'd never buy anything.
I've given up worrying and decided to upgrade about every third / fourth version.

I too have an X-Pro1 with three prime lenses and an X100s both of which are with me on my weekend away. I used the X100s yesterday as it was nice to just have the simplicity and today, it's the X-Pro1's turn.
The only reason for the post is it's simply interesting to follow the news about Fuji's new cameras and that's it. Yes, like I said before, I bought a new MacBook Pro retina 13" laptop last weekend and, it'll be updated very soon probably. Will it bother me, yes a bit, but that's life. That's another reason for me not buying a new X-T1 just now as I'm happy with what I have but I could be tempted if the 'new' X-T1 does appear. Why? Well, it's the nearest to my old long gone Olympus OM-1n than an other camera out there, even taking the new OM cameras from Olympus.
That's life... Hey ho! 😳

Funny you should mention the OM1n as I'm seriously considering getting one again (or maybe an OM2n). The vast majority of what I shoot is on film (hence my somewhat lax attitude towards digital product life-cycles) and the OM1n was the first really great camera I bought in the late 1970s.

While I applaud Fujifilm for putting out so many products in such a short time, i do wish they would slow down a bit so that they aren't constantly devaluing the market value of their own products. Perhaps after the XPro 2.

De-valued? Do you mean on the used market?
I think Fuji, has like apple and many other manufacturers figured out that their number one client base are the existing owners of their products (some say Fanboys/girls).
They are not in the business of selling second hand goods so what do they care about de-valuing a previous cycles products? 😉

Tell me about it... I had a Leica M9 and I went to sell it after I bought the X-Pro1. Just at the same time, Leica decided to bring out the 'new' M & MM cameras. It was very nice of them to price the MM at the second hand market price for an M9 devaluing mine overnight. To say I got stung is an understatement!
I want a happy bunny I can say but that's life.

Mostly the used market. But at the same time a lot of folks are feeling ripped off because they bought too soon. I mean do we really need an XT1 replacement (if true) so soon?

Ouch! That must have hurt. But at least you had up three years of not having to worry about that.
In Fuji's situation perhaps its normal as the system is still maturing. I just hope they don't think this is an easy way to keep the brand exciting and "on the consumer radar" as it were.

They still do better than a lot of other camera makers. Show me another camera maker that still supports their oldest products (x100, xp1 and xe1) w/ fw updates. They value their existing customer base.
But today's market is not going to be easy on them for taking too long on their next model because the consumer these days wants to c a less then one year turn around to the next big thing. Sony is the flagship company of turning out new camera products in an unbelievable pace. People are always complaining these days about something and think that company x and y has resources to do everything that they think is needed.. There are actually very few who can really do that..
Fuji unlike Sony or some others has done well in terms of their lens roadmap. Though I am perfectly fine w/ Fuji camera bodies in terms of af speed, there are a lot of other people who were not, the x100s, xe2 and xt1 seemed to be geared toward people that needed both better af speed and evf iq.
The issue of used market is only reverent if u are upgrading and selling old stuff. For those of us who are still got their xp1 or xe1 or x100 and waiting to jump in when the price is right or when the xp2 is released, I am not sure it matters much, since we have had more than our fair use of them.

This is the new world, where early adopters pay a premium, the "wait for later"s get to buy at a lower price. Look at the price of the X-E1 today; it's way low.
Is it a poor camera? To my eyes, no. Fujifilm still provide firmware upgrades (so far). Great.
X-T1 now out some months, the "leaky light issue" from early production is done and dusted, the broo ha ha has died down and Fujifilm are working away on an ugrade.
This should make the "first batch" X-T1 cheaper. On todays market, the lowest asking price for the body is about $500 down on the release price here in Australia anyway.
Fujifilm will likely support with future firmware upgrades too.
To me this is attractive enough to "add to cart", despite the rumor of an upgrade, which won't be $500 cheaper.
Yes, I'm trying to justify why I ordered one on Sunday at the lowest price I've seen.
I'd like to use the camera NOW, preferring not to analyse the market or the manufacturer.
I'm glad I haven't pulled the trigger yet on an "about to be superceded" Macbook Pro 15" Retina Display, there might just be a bargain to be had when they do release the rumoured new model. As tempting as it may be.

I guess my frustration lies in not really having a clue as to what fuji sees as it's own stable lineup of camera models are. Which model is the flagship? Is APS C their high end sensor? If so do all bodies use the same sensor and the main difference then is body style? Interesting times ahead.

Good question, perhaps the proper word is impatience.
The Fuji X system on the whole is such a high quality offering that i wish it was also an instantly matured system.
