Your Favorite Photograhic Genre

I like cat photos and photos of living rooms taken by men in their late 30's to early 60's who formerly have used cheap automatic cameras but have just purchased $5000 rangefinder cameras and $3000 lenses, the possession of which have made them better photographers after overcoming their initial technical befuddlement about why they have done so.

Nice review and info Edward. And I like your photos too. I like this emulsion too and plan to hav my wife grab as much as she can carry in her carry-on luggage for me when she goes to see her sister (assuming it's still around!).

You and I obviously treat it quite a bit differently though as I got a much less contrasty look and more open shadows, plus seemingly finer grain. Could be my treatment with D-76 instead.

I voted Landscape as that is what I do most - even my 'street' photography leans towards landscape. Bur really I wish I was a great portraitist 🙁

I enjoy seeing good documentary and street work as it makes my world a little larger, but I voted for nude because I think a well executed nude is something extra special, whether it's a photograph or a Victorian era painting.

What I would like to do is nudes in abandoned industrial, urban, and rural settings. All I need are the models and the permission.

I think I'm in the same category, minus the nudes. I just love rotting buildings. Never quite know what to call that genre.

I primarily interested in photographing people - and it can be classified as portrait, street, nude, or even landscape, whatever. I voted for portraits though.

Nudes, landscapes, street, and etcetera. However, since a really good street scene or landscape doesn't come along every day (or even every week), and nudes are a lot easier to set up, I voted nudes.

Yes, the everyday life of the human or his society, as Rover stated long ago on page one. But 'life' is so rich, diverse and full of various environments...so it is challenging to categorize it. So if I could pick a category, it would be 'Everyday Human Life', for it would permit the blending of certain options.
