Every time I take my Rolleiflex out people want to talk to me. I have to say, I like that. It makes photography an interactive medium.

I love how this camera flares...

Rolleiflex 2.8 E3 (CZ Planar) Tmx 400 push to 800

Amazed by the details from this vintage camera (Yr 1963) can produced and the way the lens rendered the focus and out of focus area.

It's not a vintage camera if it's younger than I am.
My usual shooter is a Rolleiflex 2.8E3 -- the best of
the line, so far as I am concerned. It's in the shop
this month, so I am shooting with other cameras. I
photographed my wife as she was dressing to leave
for the airport a few mornings ago, using a Voigtlander
Superb TLR. Now that's a 1933 camaera so if you want
to call it vintage, that's alright with me. The light was
dim so I underexposed (400TX) at EI 1200, and stand-
developed in Rodinal:

I just got by Rolleicord Vb back from CLA by Paul Ebel... who does amazing work btw... here's from the test roll I ran through it just to make sure it was fixed...

JKE, nice touch, these two. Not often do we see photographs of old New Yorkers. Probably born in New York and odds are will die in New York. Wonder who they are, and what they did with their lives.

Fully agreed. 2.8 E3 is indeed a very fine camera and only 2024 being produced base on the Rollei serial number web data. I wonder how many still survived the age.

Oh, that is a very mood shots of your lovely wife. Happen to browse through your flickr, many interesting shots of nude arts, especially those taken in open space garden or roof top.

Guess "vintage" is relative...this camera is the second oldest from my bunch of camera...Hassey 503CX or Nikon F4s...don't talk about digital...only my Leica M2 w/o self timer of year 1959 is the oldest among the lot...never try any other camera older than that...lol...🙂

hookonclassic, I have a 2.8E (Schneider Xenotar). What does the "3" stand for?
