Nice start

Nice start

I brought my Canon Canonet Generation III 17 Quick Load Black Enamel Paint this morning and had time for a macchiato and a cornetto at Sosta, my favourite espresso bar in Stockholm. Took a picture of the row of café chairs and tables for the 749th time.

With apologies to Crocodile Dundee...

With apologies to Crocodile Dundee...

That's not a brick of coffee. THAT'S a brick of coffee. When this arrived (taking advantage of Whole Latte Love's steep discounts on case quantities), I thought of this old thread and couldn't resist contributing. Not that I'm very good at still lifes. Features Canonet QL17 as well as Mamiya C330 (wearing 135/4.5 and accessories). Is the TLR -- disused since the QL arrived -- giving its forlorn, longing, Number 5-like look toward the only box of film (that won't fit him) or toward the 5 kilos of caffeine?

(Shot with my Olympus C-740 digital with which I can't seem to throw a background out of focus no matter what I do. Maybe it's one of these other 47 #&^%$!@ menu items...)

Mercy, mercy, okay you win! I never have a stash of coffee that impressive!

Well, you can't - the focal length is too short compared to the apeture of the lens, due to the tiny senor - that's why we still shoot 35mm and MF film.

Excellent coffee Nebuk. makes, better not have an RF too close to this ;)
photos taken with my 50mm Summicron V I just picked up!

Hi to all,

Hi, Brad!
The camera is a Kiev 60 as hotrodded by ARAX. Had it a while now(got it spring 04 I think) and hadn't really used it much the last couple of years so I decided to bring it with me this season. The lens is the Arsat 30mm--just about 180 degrees on 6 x 6.
The black flies are (hopefully) into their last hatch for the year, I explain them to folks that don't know 'em as "a small fly, about 1/8" long of which 2" are teeth.":D Not too many bites in any really uncomfortable places, though.
Rob
Hey Rob,
Where did you get that "BIG" thing? Oh, how are the black flies?

Voigtlander Prominent taken with Leica M6 - Summicron 50/2 DR - pretty much wide open.

'EVIL SLR' ...but a Hasselblad 500C has some kind of exemption? ;) Again taken with the Summicron DR - opened right up.

'Blad returns the favour - actually taken using 150mm Sonnar wide open on TriX.

Just came back from outside. Looks like autumn is coming, it's getting colder. (Here in Oulu, Finland) So I had a nice warm cup of coffee.

My Leica M2 & I enjoying an excellent cappuccino at Crema Coffee on Mody Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. Crema makes the best coffee that I've found in Hong Kong.
