Robert Clark, I completely agree. Perspective is what we all could use more of, so much complaining, but so little perspective

For return trips, New York is inexhaustible. Berlin and many other cities in Germany, including my beloved Göttingen, are great. Paris, Prague, London and Venice are on my "to do" list.

One for Paris please ... that's Paris in France not the one in Texas, Barcelona would be a second choice.
Barcelona, Arkansas--right?

A road trip. Either to the west - Scotland, or to the South - that would be Spain (via France) or - most probably - north - a round trip via Baltic countries, Finland, Sweden and Norway perhaps up to Nordkapp. All in my good old boxy Volvo, where I can put all my apparatus and still sleep in quite a comfort

Without a doubt, Antarctica - the light , the "awesome"" scenery, the wildlife.
There is nowhere like it in the world.

Great question to be thinking over Saturday morning brekkie. Would love to do Iceland as well. Also the Swiss Alps and conveniently my wife is Swiss and we will be back there next northern summer. This time it will be photographically focused for me rather than family focused and I will have a couple of weeks to myself with my M9. Can't wait.

Well, I've already decided and booked: 16 day photo tour of Bhutan later this year for my birthday. Plus, a few days in Bangkok on either side. Now, I just need to decide which gear to take.....

Very cool! I've been wanting to go to "dangerous places" for a long time. Iraq, other parts of the middle east and even Somalia. But I can't find anyone to go with me, and it's best to travel with a buddy to these places... Let's go!
consider a 'buddy' found!

I'd love to go back to South Korea and spend 2 weeks out in the countryside where extended relatives reside. Or back to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This would also be an amazing experience.

Back to Africa.
Alexandria to Cape Town, low and slow in the old Cessna. Pelican case, tripod and a couple of pairs of shorts, teeshirts and 7 bottles of Oban.

Edit: I see it's only 2 weeks. Float the Zambezi. (Else, Schenectady and a couple of quarts of beer.)

Shooter of Film...
If I could I would like to stretch that 2 weeks into 2 months...then I...
Would travel this here United States...I've seen a lot of it but not quite all of it...
I would love to drive as long as I could and see this country (and photograph it too)
I would visit Smalltown, Anytown USA...back roads, get lost and visit with farmers, fishermen, car mechanics, cafe owners and others such as the list goes...Americans...people who love this land, their jobs and treat you like family after only knowing you for a short time...
That's what I would do...2 months may not be enough...

You'll love it! You probably already have it scheduled, but if not, try to make it to Tiger's nest.Well, I've already decided and booked: 16 day photo tour of Bhutan later this year for my birthday. Plus, a few days in Bangkok on either side. Now, I just need to decide which gear to take.....

Its funny, but the only time I've just "run into" someone shooting with a M9 was in Bhutan. 5am in the pourning rain at the Paro Tsechu festival.

North Africa--the Western desert.
I would like to go see the places where where my uncle fought as one of the "Desert Rats" nearly seventy years ago, see if there are any remainders (derelict tanks, etc) from the battles he fought in, and photograph them.

I've been thinking Tuscany, Italy for a long time.
So much so I am finally off there in just over a week for about 10 days.
I know it's a cliché but not all my photography has to be deep and profound -- in fact you could argue very little if any of it is that anyway, some of it can be the same stuff over again as there is the personal experience that goes with replicating that cliché.
After that, I'm not sure yet. I think I find myself quite occupied with the stuff in my own country (as I am quite interested in the every day, if you hadn't noticed....
)
I expect I'd like to return to the USA at some point, and Canada, do a bit of a Stephen Shore pilgrimage of sorts!

Japan. I don't know why. I'm just interested in Japanese people/culture (old and modern), art, architecture (mostly old) etc.
