Leica M Shooter
The M2 has always been my favorite M. A metered M2 would be awesome!... Weirdly, I am interested in an M2.

Is this a trick question?Do you think it’ll cost more if there’s a “dot-delete” option?

I've still got my fingers crossed for an M-mount IIIg coming out of nowhere.
Hell, I'd even take an M-mount Leica II if they really want a budget option. Just give me that small Barnack form factor - awkward bottom loading and all - but with the option for modern lenses.
Never going to happen but a guy's gotta have dreams, right?
No, it wasn’t. I don’t want a red dot.The M2 has always been my favorite M. A metered M2 would be awesome!

The real question is how well the new M6 will compare to used M6's
price
workmanship
features
The new M6 can't look too good - or new flagship MP sales would suffer.
butter up the popcorn and enjoy the show
Chromed plastic top and bottom plates a la Praktica, made in China and a speed selection from 1/30 to 1/500 of a second. Price? 3.200 Euros, 4.900 in black paint and without red dot 🙄
Leica China AG sounds nice, doesn‘t it? 😛
I suspect that Cosina will be watching these Leica shenanigans very closely, and watching the public's response. Maybe they'll be inspired to bring back the Bessas! Bang for the buck: even at $2,000.00, say, many RF shooters would opt for a Bessa over a cheapified Leica.
A resurrected Cosina bessa iii or fujifilm GF670.. But neg size selection 69, 67 and 66 in the same camera with a 80-90 f2.8 lens. I would snap one up. Rolleiflexs and Makina 67 sell because of the fast f2.8 lens. Osina could easily do this. Second hand prices for GF670 are nearly £3k. I am sure they ciuld price it to make a orofit and fir it to sell.
I am watching this Leica release with interest.
The goal is photographs I am satisfied with
By this logic you can also buy a print that you are satisfied with - and that's the same as being there, remembering the experience of the scene etc...
It is not the same for me.
