It has been an old posting about hacking the lightsensor in an gt to increase the range to 1000asa has somone had some progress in this area?maybe a bigger capasitor?

The capacitor actually holds the shutter open, so would have the adverse effect - actually working for slower film speeds.

I swapped my GS (1000asa) metering to the G (500asa). The meter light and speed are pretty accurat comparing to my GSN, but let's see how the test roll comes out!
btw, the switch is fairly painless, just the skinning /reskinning part required the most of your time! - good luck!
