Massachusetts Boston Area "Meeting"

Wasn't there a Subway Series in 2000 (won by the Yankees)? I seem to recall some sort of disagreement between Mr. Clemens and Mr. Piazza during that time.

With all the Yankee fans showing up, maybe we should move the Boston area meeting location to the MacDougal Ale House in Greenwich Village? 😉

Growing up in CT I mix well with Sox fans. After all, if I was born a few towns further east I may have been one too.

Nah.... 😀

Baseball: About as exciting as shooting family pictures with a Kodak Disc camera. Yawn.

There, that should generate some feedback🙂

Peter you can fit all that and more. I remember meeting with Ray G and his over stuffed Domke 803. Two bodies, scads of lenes including a giant Nikkor 105/2.5, it was fun and funny.

Liked that, huh? 🙂

That really is a great bag.

Why you *$#@)*#%(#%!!!!! 😡

There probably was a subway series in 2000. I'm not really a baseball fan, I just pretend to be because everyone else is. If my life depended on it, my allegiance would first go to the Yanks, then the Sox, but since my life doesn't depend on it, I'm happy to see a good game.

Tennis anyone?

I don't contribute much here...

I don't contribute much here...

but I'd really like to meet you all. On the baseball front, I'm a Tribe fan who grew up in New York, but with my family split between the bay state and the empire state I'm well versed in the rivalry. Beer and baseball is a volatile mixture here in Boston, but I'd like to buy a round for everything I've learned from you all over the past months.

So I was in this bar in Marblehead one evening, thinking I was making a strong connection with an attractive blonde across the room. Silly me though, I was sitting right under the TV and she was checking out the rookie Red Sox player just called up that day from the minors.

We both struck out swinging.

I don't understand that. Baseball is by far the most exciting American sport. American football OTOH, which seems to be amazingly popular here, is stupefyingly boring. I guess its all in what you grow up with...

Hi,

I am looking forward to meeting you all!
Now that the Yankees are out of the playoffs I have plenty of time in October......;-)

Ciao

I'm out for tonight. Sorry I'm going to miss meeting everyone. I'm an avid sailor and my dad's taking his boat in New Jersey out of the water for the winter next weekend. Tomorrow's Jersey Shore forcast is 75 with 18 knot winds, so I'm driving down tonight.

Unfortunately I can't make next weekend, either, but I hope we can do this again. Have a great time!

Unfortunately I can't make it either. 🙁 I'm home sick - a gift from my grandchildren when they were here last weekend. I'm planning to make it next weekend. Have a great time!

Fellas, I have to bail tonight. My bro just showed up from his jobsite in NY state and he's staying with us for the next few days. Psyched to see him 🙂 , bummed to miss you guys 🙁 .

Have fun & behave.
