Camera and Coffee

Frank,The meter bits are still in it, but I am unable to adjust the pots enough to get it to be accurate with current batteries. I have one of my wifes elastic hair binders wrapped twice around the barrel to keep it from collapsing too far as the I-22 will run into it without something to stop it. I'm debating having DAG adjust or remove the meter... Won't be soon, either way, as getting that CL fried my toy money budget :D

Fed 2 wearing a fashionable Industar 61 lens set off to perfection by a beautiful 1950s Japanese lens hood lounges casually next to an italian coffee

Hey, that looks like my FED 2(d)!

A pair of Canonets: QL17 GIII from the 70's and QL19 from the 60's. Addictive little beasts ...

Greyhoundman fixed the cold-weather shutter problem on the GIII. I traded Les Gediman an Elmar 90/4 LTM for the minty GIII. The QL19 comes straight from gman's magic workshop where he salvaged another Canonet for us. Thanks Dave!

Gene: Sweet! I'm home today doin' renos, sippin' on some Tim's and just stopped for a break to check RFF. Back to painting for me :( ... maybe, just MAYBE I can finish the front hall without spilling any more paint.

first of all, you traded away a 90/4! talk about bad timing on my part.

but more important...that pic is blindingly sharp! what did you use to take it?

and yeah, the cameras look great too.

Yeah, I was thinking that too when I saw your quest for a 90. But this happened about 6-8 weeks ago, right after I'd acquired Dave's CV 90/3.5 and the Elmar 90 became redundant.

The pic was taken with a Micro Nikkor 55/2.8 attached to a Canon DSLR body. The Micro Nikkor is razor sharp.

I won't. It was actually given to me last year before I ever owned a Nikon body. Good things happen!

1st generation Alpa Reflex (early SLR with 55mm baseline rangefinder) fitted with a 50/2.9 collapsible Angenieux. Akalai, there's the "infamous" belt :D...

I do believe that is the first collapsible I have ever seen on a SLR... That it's an Alpa really doesn't surprise me though :D

al1966, hope you enjoy the Z.4K... like the shot.

HH, love those Alpas ~ and 1st gen there is particularly interesting.

cap'nslak ~ "like minds" and similar mailmen ... The Zorki.5 I acquisitioned for my little darlin' came home Saturday from Alex. My wife and I had gone ice skating a few weeks ago with friends, she took a break and I had her hold the camera. I caught her trying to figure out how to take a shot with it and asked if she would be interested in one of her own to play around with. I surprised her with it today and surprised myself that she grabbed it right up and instantly wanted lessons on how to operate it. So here's the C&C shot of Sweetness' Zorki.5.

Reagan, you've GOT to get a Zorki 6 now! This is one sweet little camera! I can tell I'm really gonna enjoy using this thing.

Today was sunny and bright, so I headed to Tim's with the Star for coffee and a slow read of the paper.
