Intro: My name is Paul Connet and I am a RF addict. I have been lurking for a while but could not resist this thread. I have way too many cameras, (SLRs. TLRs, & RFs), and most are old, maybe not as old as me, but some are close. This forum is really an enjoyable group and is a nice place to visit each day.
It was hard to pick a camera for the coffee shot as there are so many that are quite photogenic. I finally settled on a cute little Zorki-Zorki with a J3 mounted. The coffee in my personal mug, is Starbucks, home brewed and properly flavored to my taste.
Paul,
Nice shot and love the Zorki too. I've been playing with my 4K for a month now and really enjoy it. Just got the J-12 for it, and hope to finish a roll thru it this weekend. Please show us more of your shots. 😉
Greetings to all: Thanks for the warm welcome, and happy to be a part of this group. My lurking time has been several months and I have yet to see any of the bad stuff, (bickering, mean-spirited posts). Everything has been friendly and helpful.
Peter asked what my thoughts were about the J3 vs. the J8. I guess my J3's, (two of them) were put together right because my pics with them have been at least the equal of anything from the J8's. No formal testing, but I do side by side shots occasionaly to check one lens against another. A good place for that is an old cemetary that has large and small, detailed headstones.
Here is a typical comparison done between a J8 and Canon 50/f1.8. The J8 was on a Z3c and the Canon lens on a LIIIf. Subject distance 1.5 meter, f5.6, at 1/500. The J8 shot is the top one. Very difficult to see a difference until enlarged to actual pixel size.
rich, it may be time for glasses.
the canon is clearly the best of the bunch here.
the sharpness is almost surgical yet with an amazing warmth and the most pleasing bokeh. 😉

OK guys, I fixed it. Look again. For some reason I am not able to attach a photo directly to a post. I am forced to create a URL and then attach that. Maybe I'm too new or just inept. <grin>
you should normally be able to attach a photo within your post by first hitting reply on an already running post.
at the bottom of the page is the attach file section. on the right is a browse button. hit that and you can upload directly from your own hard drive.
