Yep Frank, I have a big leather store and factory (mainly jackets and bags) at two streets from my house, just went there and asked if they had some scrap patches, the guy there said 'sure!' and came out with a piece that will probably give for 3 or 4 more cameras.
The Iskra recover is a piece of cake, btw.

Andrew, they are the all metal Leica M grips from www.photoequip.net (they are not the ones displayed on their website though). Designed for M Leicas but they fit the Canon P and 7 (and some more probably) almost perfectly, drop a line to photoequip AT yahoo DOT net if you'd like to get more info about them.

i have to admit that while i have no need for speed, the look of the 1.2 pics is enticing.
i also like the 2 grips, very handsome.
i find that my 'p' actually feels smaller when i carry it around now. that grip was the best investment, thanks for the legwork in finding them.

Went to a Photorama show and came home with a Canon IIf with Canon 50mm F1.5 lens and case. Calibrated the RF and put a roll through it already. Also picked up a Canon 28mm F2.8 FD for $10 and some series VI adapters for the Summarit.
The lens look great, two visible cleaning marks. The camera is mint-. The outfit ran less than the lens alone on EBay. Camera shows are well worthwhile!
BTW: This camera feels solid. Even more so than the Canon Vt. I think they originated "Heavy Metal".

SO: Nikkor 5cm F1.4, Canon 50mm F1.5, Jupiter-3, and Zeiss-Opton 50mm F1.5 (Contax mount). Also have the Zeiss 5cm F2 collapsible, Jupiter-8m and Nikkor 5cm F2 for the 6-element "slow ones", all of these are Contax/Nikon mount.

It's really nice. Chrome. I love chrome lenses.
And remember that chrome lenses are better than black lenses in sunlight because the metal does not heat up and cause the optical alignment to go wacky! Black lenses are okay in temperature controlled studio conditions where the optical alignment is held constant but chrome would cause undo reflections of studio lighting...

Brian, the Cron will see sunlight most of the time and the heat level here Down Under can be rather high so the chrome finish is indeed an advantage. It matches the chrome finish on the M3 too!
