Camera and Coffee

Finally got a break and did the leather on the dark avenger.:)

( notice the clean coffee cup:) )

A beautiful-looking camera. I was going to mention that you drink very weak coffee but I see someone figured out you were drinking tea. Very nice camera. I imagine it works as well as it looks.

It's iced coffee today!

It's iced coffee today!

Too hot for Starbucks or Caribou here. A bit of iced coffee with the very cool Yashica works though.

I might have to get into building an exotic wood case next. :)
African blackwood with pink ivoy trim? :)

The leather I got from a member, was super easy to work with.
Plus, Jon Goodman's super stick glue sheets are excellent!

I have been waiting to see the results. So glad the leather worked out. I am hoping to make it readily available in the not too distant future but if anyone needs some in the meantime drop me a PM. I can get it in a variety of embossings and colours as well as plain and undyed.

another FED 2

another FED 2

Great job g'man....here's my late morning after a couple weekend's worth of working on a FED2. I need "barako beans" from the Philippines to jump start the day while browsing RFF.

Nice looking Fed2 and I61. I see you use the same soft release. :)

That "softie" came from a Stanton headshell for a tonearm. It's designed to add tracking weight on lighter cartridges it's a coincidence the thread pitch is the same.

I have found a 0000 pure sable brush works better than a stick. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything that is better than a steady hand and lots of patience :(

I used a epoxy red, a thin wire and lots of patience. :)
The lettering paint has to be of the same type, to be sure of sticking.

GMan, that Fed is one for the books, I actually had to print out a picture of it and put it on my office door....did I just admit to that? I need to seek professional help!

Canon V, VI, 7

Canon V, VI, 7

The New VI-T joins the pack. Here are some shots of the V-T, VI-T, and 7 side by side. The Canon 7 is about the same size as these trigger-wind models. Of the three, the Canon 7 is the cheapest of the three to acquire.

(Pictures taken with the Nikon E3, 50mm F1.4 lens, 1/15th and F4.8)

Nice set...is the trigger wind to the right of the viewfinder? If not, how does the trigger mechanism work? Very interesting and lovely cameras.

P. S. Just saw the trigger lever on an eBay picture -- neat feature!

Not that there is anything wrong with owning a lot of cameras, right?

The trigger wind is on the bottom of the VT and VI-T. It is folded up in the base, and flips down for use. The wind-knob is for use on the tripod. I'll get some more shots of the set-up. The fitted case has a cut-out for the trigger wind. What I always forget is to fold the trigger before closing the case. No damage is done, the smart engineers at Canon thought about that possibility and have some give in the mechanism. The trigger wind works via a chain-drive that is strong enough to cut down trees.
