Ahhh...where would we be without the friendly camera rivalry? 😉
Truth be known I think I've been fascinated by every camera I've ever handled and even most that I've read about; the toughest thing for me is making choices (I know, not a problem for some of our members 😀).
Well thanks to all.
This is like religion (I think) we all pray to the same god but religous war exists. I like all RF gear and SLR too, I'm not so lucky to get me a P, nor a Contax, so I had to choose, but that doesn't mean I don't like them, In fact I find the P one of the most pretiest RF that exists.
Jan, thank you for your warm comments, I hope I get to make better pictures, learning in a place like this is great.
one of the nicer things about this particukar forum is that there seems to be genuine respect for each other and the machines that we use and prefer to use.
i agree that the canon p is, to my eye, a very pretty camera and i love the 'feel' of it.
others love the contax or leica and lately any number of tlr's and it's all ok.
Pablo: Send me a few cases of top shelf Chilean cab sauvignon and I will praise every shot you take no matter what. I pray to the god Bacchus, don't know if he's the same one others pray to. 😉
It really is nice to see his skills appreciated. Of course, I like having a "doctor" in the house. My cameras always receive tender, loving care. And I don't have to learn how to fix them.
A nice trade-off: he doesn't have to shop for groceries or pay bills, etc. 🙂
I can handle the camera stuff.... but ya gotta stop flashin' the grapes at us viewers. I think in the USA that is called 'cruel and unusual punishment' and is served by the defendant pouring a round. joke!
Yeah, I'm with parks... le vin! Hey Jan, we should hook him up with some top shelf Niagara cab franc, eh? And for dessert.... ice wine like no one else does it!
