Gene & Rich ... thanks. I didn't do as much post-processing as I could have, and I was working on a laptop LCD anyway, so wasn't sure of the work I did do.

I found this camera at the St. Vincent thrift store in Port Washington, Wisconsin for $6. I put a roll of film through it on Saturday. The pictures are still at the minilab. The focus ring is really stiff. Does anybody know how to fix that? It was -10 F when Mr. Sbug, of this forum, took this photo. Coffee also coutesy of Mr. Sbug.

Don't know the repair for that one, but for $6 that's a major win. The St. Vinnies here in Madison would have been charging $30 - 40 for that one (yes, they have learned the good names & Voightlander is good for them
)

That is a great deal on that Voigtlander. Best I've ever seen, actually.

The mailman was nice to me today :angel: and I recieved my box from Luigi. I knew it would be a beautiful case and strap, but I didn't realize how nice it would _feel_. Just delightful. So here's a couple of shots if it.
Thank you, Luigi. That was money very well spent.

my first repainting and releathering camera
sorry no coffee, but there is a bottle of whisky in the background, from which I had a little drink while putting the camera back together. doesnt that count?

Pimped out to match the lettering on the lens. You get creativity points for that.

O, you think I painted the lens lettering? no no i am not that crazy
it was like that.
No, the green an orange colors match the lettering on the lens. Did you choose those colors to match the lens?

no I didn't. its pure luck, or may be it was subconscious? I havent even looked at the lens through the whole process. damn, have I lost those creativity points?

Yesterday, I scored a new toy at the flea market for only 7 €, and it shall now become my first 'Camera and Coffee' post! Enjoy.
I'm thinking about dressing it up like this!
