Camera and Coffee

Why? 'Cause I like pink, that's why! :D

I probably won't make the change until it's needed, which ought to be a few years. The leatherette is almost factory-new, so changing it would be pure vanity. And I'm not vain, I just like to be beautiful! ;)

I've never been one to advocate delaying gratification :)D) I'd go pink now...that's a cool look!!!

The mailman was nice to me today  and I recieved my box from Luigi. I knew it would be a beautiful case and strap, but I didn't realize how nice it would _feel_. Just delightful. So here's a couple of shots if it.

Thank you, Luigi. That was money very well spent.

William - very nice!

Tower 51 & Speyburn

Tower 51 & Speyburn

Yesterday evening I took my Tower 51 apart to clean a filthy viewfinder. It was pretty straightforward, though I did make some mistakes and learn some things. :D ... like how the glass for the RF and VF windows were secured ... learned that when they FELL OUT!

Anyway, I got it all cleaned up, and I didn't even ruin the beamsplitter! I now have a problem with the film advance, which was dodgy to start with, but I'll get that sorted. Anyway, here's a C&W (camera and whisky) shot ... too late in the day for coffee. Although I DID have some nice Peruvian organic this morning that was way smooth!

Zorki.3 lookin' good didotcicero! ..

That is what I thought from the look, however I've been really fighting with a pair of old (~5-7 year old) 15" Sony monitors of late. One was excessivly dark, the other excessivly light. This does not lend itself to being sure about that kind of ... art... :)

The Macallan is nice, but my favorite remains Laphroaig. Then again, _any_ of the Glens will keep me pleased through the evening... :D

Beauty shot Rich!

I like Oban the best, though the best scotch I've ever tasted is someone else's usually very hard to find any great quantity of :D

As a recovering student, I've turned to Rum as a cheaper alternative to scotch...

Gordy: What the hell you talkin' bout? One malt? That is NOT what "single malt" means! That's like sayin' one RF is enough!

Rich---let's see if we can get a group discount on some Macallan 25---now THAT would be cool! Due to whatever reasons Macallan 25 is $350.00 for a 750 bottle here locally---gasp--choke! Even the 12 is expensive

Got some time today, so I pulled out my Kiev 4 for a photoshoot with a few lenses.
Then a medium format rangefinder, the Seagull 203.
Finally, a TLR, also a Seagull.
Sorry for the lack of coffee :D

I haven't been here at the cam'n'java hangout for a while, but since I discovered the the camera in my phone (amazing thing!) I might visit more often. Here is my little Ricoh planning summer vacation with me and my homebrew (French Roast from Sibyllans Tea and Coffe Store in Stockholm).

...and while am here I could as well contribute with yesterdays coffee break together with my S2 longing out of the office to some warm and beatiful place along the mediterranean shooting some pseudo important photo story with me.

NKVD meets Takumar

NKVD meets Takumar

This thread will survive us all. I've been messing with a FED 1, NKVD trying to get it to work with something other than the 50 it came with. Here is a shot of the camera with a 35mm SMC Takumar mounted. I had to put the turret finder on it because there is nothing to be seen through the finder except the back side of the lens hood. :bang:

Kind of cute don't you think.
