What do you guys think about a December 18th Meet-Up at 1:00 PM at Puck Fair?

Also want to tell you I've been a bad-bad boy this year with gear. I just got a brand new 50 Lux ASPH, and I'm building up and upgrading another M-Body and pimping it out like a Nikon F3 for use with this lens that will feature a 0.85 VF'er.

My Christmas wish came early this year.

Moral of the story is bad boys always have fun.

As I cull down my Nikon SLR gear, more of my Leica gear gets to resemble one of Nikon F 3's.

BTW I am selling my Noct-Nikkor to fund my rangefinder expansion.

Sounds like the perfect date to me... but I will not have any new expensive toys to show off... :(

I think I'm out of the Leica game... with the M9 being my last M. It's just too much cash these days.

Perhaps at the January Meet-Up after Christmas, and after you get your bonus.

Cal

Bonus is end of February, but I won't be spending much on gear this year...I'll be banking most of it.

I like what I have to be honest and will only add the new Fuji interchangable camera and lenses which I should be able to get for the price of one Leica lens. I'm becoming cheap.

Call me a devil, but the Third Annual Leica M-Body Beauty Pagent is coming up in February, and John Chee is rummored to be heavily favored after having been runners up for two years in a row.

The Holidays is the perfect time to get new gear, just in time for the real big event: the 2012 Pagent in February.

If we do a two lens kit again like last year, I'll enter my 28 Cron ASPH with my new 50 Lux ASPH. If its for a two camera kit, I also have it covered.

As you know its winner takes all. Who can beat John?

You can't bring that tired old titanium M6 again... so you'll have to buy a third M.

If he gets the Hello Kitty M6, nobody is beating him this year... even if I have to get violent in order to ensure it! ;)

Just go back to film :D

No thanks... and that doesn't make up for the fact that the lenses are getting out of hand too. I guess I'm tired of the "luxury" philosophy of Leica. I'm not a luxury guy in anything else I do...

Plus, the M9 should still be relavent for many years for me.

If you want to beat John in a two camera contest you do... ;)

That John seems to have two of everthing. Between him and Tung they have the entire Leica catalog.

I can't wait to see his 2005 Nikon SP with 35/1.8. If I didn't have a 35/1.8 Nikkor in LTM I'd have to get one.

I know, I was just joking :)

Now that is one film camera I could get into...

Andre, I know you were kidding... I know you guys know I'm sold on digital. I have been using film though... running it through a Ricoh GR1 now and then.

I head out to BCN on the 15th but you guys should enjoy if you meet up on the 18th!

The 18th work best for me as well.

John G. - Yes, the 1:1 viewfinder in Nikon rangefinders tops any Leica M's. M3 is only a close second. Definitely recommend a Nikon for your re-entering into film.

Cal - Your two lens M6 kit will be a strong contender. What version is your 50 Lux? For some reason, I've gotten a feeling that I will end up getting the second place again no matter what I am going to bring. My prediction would be Tung will take home the trophy with his special edition white M3 with a Rigid and another unannounced lens.

Thanks John... unfortunately, I just am not feeling film enough to buy another film camera. I guess I'm just comfortable with digital these days... the digital workflow.
