How many loaded cameras are you holding?

Usually two bodies are loaded with film, same focal length, same film. Just faster to switch bodies than stop and load film if I'm moving.

One at a time..the Agat 18. It sits in my pocket its so light, I trust its exposure scale and by the time I have finished the film I have forgotten what is at the beginning of it! Its always a nice surprise.

I slap a few inches of masking tape on the top of a camera. An ultra fine point Sharpie lists film type, sometimes subject and/or other things like ISO used, people's names. The tape gets transferred to the cassette when I change film. You can roll a couple of feet of extra tape around the Sharpie without too much bulk.

Right now I have Kodak Gold 200 in the Bessa L with the 15, Tri-x in my CL, M2-R, and M3. The 21/3.4 S.A. is on the M3, a 35 Summicron on the M2-R, 40 Summicron on the CL. Today I went to South Beach with the Bessa L and 15 Heliar and made 14 exposures.

A few weeks back following and snapping away at my Nephew's graduation, I had my "Hexarmada" (two bodies, three lenses, two flash units), plus my very-new-to-me Contax Tvs compact, and about 18 rolls of film, mostly Kodak BW400CN b/w, with some Portra 400NC/800 and Ektar 100 mixed in. Result: Contax becomes the new Camera Number Three, which designated it as (1) the camera on my person almost all the time, replacing my I'll-eventually-get-it-fixed Ricoh GR-1, and (2), it will almost always be loaded with film, usually b/w. (It did color duty in FL, while the Hexars had nothing but b/w in them.)

This means that the Contax will be the only at-a-moment's-notice camera, since the Hexars are usually empty unless I start getting notions (either good or bad). That's the role the Ricoh had before its annoying demise, and I'm liking the Tvs so much that I'll need to work harder to remember that I actually still own that GR-1, and will want to send it off to CRIS to get properly fixed up, if for no other reason than to sell it off to more needful/wanting hands than mine.

There's also the Holga 135 (gift of an in Hong Kong) with the unfinished roll (what, about six months old now?) of either BW400CN or XP2 Super in it. And the Konica Lexio 70 with an unfinished roll (probably its last, since the Contax arrived) of Fuji Superia 400. Since I've been on a mad scanning spree since getting back from Florida, I'll probably unload both those cameras and get the rolls souped ASAP.

Right now, there's film in an M3, at least one XA, a Bessa (either a T or an L- I forget right now); and a Grafmatic back is loaded with 4x5- does that count?

At the minute all 3 of my "users", the Hexar RF, M6ttl and Fe2 are loaded with Velvia 50 (the flavour of the month). Though there is a brick of Astia (plus more Velvia) on the way. There's plenty of Ektar and a bulk roll of Portra 160NC and 3 of B&W in the freezer awaiting use also.

I'm just getting back into film, so only 2 folders (Ikonta, Vito II) and 2 SLRs (Pentax, Argus/Chinon) are loaded. Tomorrow I'll head to Lake Tahoe for a few days, so I'll probably load the FED and Yashi RFs also. Me mate will handle the Autocord. (A couple digitals will be 'loaded' too, but they'll go unmentioned here.) In my prior filmic days, everything stayed loaded except the clumsy Graflex 9x12, but it took sheets anyway. My practice has always been, just about everything that isn't display-only or broken or for sale stays loaded and ready for action.

I like to keep all my cameras loaded all the time...but I am poor, so all means 3. The Leica M2 I shoot with most often, usually have some odball something loaded up in the Holga, and in my F3 I've got some low iso B&W film right now. Sometimes I break out the OM4 also, usually that gets black and white film too--only thing that really changes films often is the Leica.

Hmm, I have half a roll of Reala in my F1n, a roll of Velvia in my OM4, a roll of Acros in my CCN, a roll of Trix in my M4, Neopan 400 in my IIIA. I just loaded 5 film holders and a Grafmatic for use tomorrow afternoon in my Wista 4x5.

Well, how do you count a Hasselblad with the different backs? If I count three loaded Hasselbladbacks with one slow and one fast b&w film and one colour, I got also two tlrs loaded and one MF RF plus two 35 RFs plus two others. Whow, I didn't even recognize that! 10 loaded cameras. I should get rid of some of them in order not to loose the overview. Just rememered, that a 6x9 is also loaded with film, which will make it 11. Takes me some months to get through!
