how much gear do you normally carry?
i'm not talking about special assignments or for holidays, but just on a saturday afternoon when you plan to take a few shots.
would it be one camera and 2 lenses or 2 cameras and 4 lenses?
i'm talking just bodies and lenses here.

Just this guy, you know?
One camera, one lens for walking around. Traveling, as many as two cameras ans four lenses.
Typical would be M6 / 50 or Mamiya 7 / 65. Add the possibility of a short telephoto in my pocket.

If I'm going for a walk from home to town, then it's one camera, one lens - whatever I feel ike using that day. If i'm going for a drive with the prospect of some dedicated photography time, then 2 bodies with 2 or 3 lenses. Maybe a MF camera as well. Again, whatever I feel like using that day.

I have a small bag with my IIIf, lenses, film & accessories in it. I grab it on the way out the door.

Just for fun walking around: One camera, one lens.
Going to an outing like a picnic, one or two cameras, two or three lenses.
Vacation for a few weeks: three cameras, four or five lenses.
Lens testing: one camera, fourteen lenses. Does not happen often. They were all 50mm f2 lenses...

If I'm going on a walk a bout I like to keep it lite with one body 2 lenses maximum. A 50 & a 35 are my most common lenses for my Bessa R.

One body with one or sometimes two lenses (probably 50mm and 28/35mm). Possibly two bodies and three lenses for holidays or somewhere I may want more flexibility. Oh, and a meter.

I generally leave home in the car with a small backpack with 1 MF body and my X-Pan and 2 lenses for each.
But I also carry an empty small shoulder bag so that when I get out of the car on location I can transfer and carry a smaller selection of that gear if I want to.

If I'm out with a 35mm RF on an afternoon looking for what comes my way, one camera and 3 lenses in a small bag does it.
If I'm doing something else and am bringing a camera too, one camera and one lens (50mm).

One camera and a couple of lenses, but since I have the Konica Dual 21/35, that's all I need.

When I travel to a new place or return to a place I like, I'll carry one camera and 2-3 lenses in a bag.
At home, or when I go someplace local to take pictures, one camera and one lens. The potential sacrifice of a few shots if only I had another lens is worth it compared to the hassle of carrying stuff around.
