Are those vertical Newton's rings in the upper middle, bisecting the slanting tree trunk and going into the sky and the clouds?
 
Payasam - if you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't of notice them. Exposure is spot-on for this shot. The camera seems to be holding up better than the tree in the photo.

After looking at the negative it would be water spots. I guess my photo-flo bath didn't do it's job.
 
To avoid the newton rings, the negative's emulsion side must face the scanner glass.

No thats a scanner issue, not water spots.

Sorry.. You're wrong. After re-washing the negative and treating it with photo-flo the problem disappeared.

Lately the city has been over treating the water which leaves a residue on the negatives. I have to treat it a bit longer with photo-flo to get all of the residue off..
