Leica M strap with X-Pro2, does it fit?

Hi!
I have a question that may be silly. Does the standard Leica M strap fit with the Fuji X-pro2? I remember from my Leica days that rings on the M-strap was kind of thick and it did not fit one of my older cameras with lugs. Has anyone tried? I like this strap, it does not glide on my shoulder.

Every other strap that people use with a Leica fits my X-Pro2... I doubt this wouldn't as well. However, I no longer have one of these straps to try. Judging from the photo...I say yes though.

It works. I had it set-up like that for a year with no problems.
