Let's see your Leica M

Did you get the CLA done locally? Good job?

ps Love the floor. I can imagine various shades of yellow, brown, and green!

I got a friend who brought my lens to a Hong Kong master, he has been doing CLA for my friend for many years.

You are pretty spot on with the tile colours!

My brother lives in Costa Mesa, and I see him about once a year. Be great to meet up on my next visit, perhaps timed for camera show in Buena Park.

Sure! Always happy to meet fellow photographers.

Fancy colors or good 'ol black? I'm thinking about re-skinning my M4s with either tan or brown covers.

Oh just good ol black for me. I just want it plain and simple.

Don't know if I've shown this before, if so, my apologies.

Not sure why it's blue, the person I bought it from isn't the one who "blued" it. Very professionally done, and as much as it kills the stealth aspect of the M, I hesitate to recover it without knowing its heritage.

DAG overhauled her so she is smooth as silk. The MR still works and is quite accurate. And I love the lens, she renders beautifully; and such history.

So I took bit of a gamble the other week and it seems to have paid off so far. I'm already loving this camera. Time to give it some proper use and get some proper brassing happening!

Beautiful camera there splitimageview - technically easily a dream Leica M.
When looking at the unpainted script though this comes to mind:

Have the script filled with a highly gloss black lacqer, which has a beautiful contrast in certain light yet stays nice blacked out and stealthy.
It has the benefit of not looking "unfinished" of an otherwise exquisite looking camera ;-)
