Let's see your Leica M

Yes its a Luigi case and strap. I picked it up for a good price with the intention of keeping the strap and selling the case but there were no takers on here and I'm now quite attached to it so decided to keep it.

^ Love the Konica

Thanks Helen :)

I normally prefer black lenses, but I gotta say, these chrome Summicrons are NICE!

I'm now having irrational thoughts of buying a chrome MP to put them on

Heck, why not an MP3 or M6J instead :bang:

M6J are plenty around, and not so expensive anymore, below 100万円。 :D

Hey, who says a chrome MP is excessive? I love mine but have often thought of going ga ga and looking for an anthracite MP. Just because it is ..."excessive"! Jon, you NEED something excessive to match the qualities of the black SP2005. Unlike me, you will likely never feel the need to own a succession of Leica M bodies, so why not go crazy and get an M6J or an MP3, or my favorite, the Japan-only anthracite MP.

C/V body cap arrived today. Now, what to put it on?

Dewa dewa

It's a good thing for my credit card that MAP Camera sold their recent 75万円 MP3 before I started experience GAS for a chrome Leica. That thing was gorgeous

You blokes must be in some kind of good business. Whatever it is, I wanna be in it. I mean, dropping 1mil for a camera? Sheesh! I'd have to save for 2-3 years for that kind of dough.

not the prettiest match-up around here ;)

'55 dual stroke M3 - smoothest & quietest M i've ever had, even more so than the '57 DS M3 i used to have. M6 is now gone, traded for a Super Angulon. i had forgotten how lovely these old M's really are, I just wish I could forget that black paint M4 I fondled when I went to pick up the M3... :)

Hey mate....where in Sydney did you get to fondle that BP M4? I wouldn't mind doing a bit of fondling meself, actually. Will do that when I'm back in Sydney for Xmas.

a Leica collector friend of mine from Canberra.

I just wish I had the kind of cash-flow to persuade him to sell it to me. it'd just been returned from a complete DAG overhaul, it is beautiful - absolutely beautiful. Oh and he had his BP MP there as well, i much preferred the M4 though... not that it really matters, either way

I'm not really a big fan of the MP, to be honest. Try as I might, it's never turned me on. But that M4...Mmmm...hubba..hubba!

Geez, you blokes get around a lot. I might head out there tomorrow as it's a public holiday.

And in case anyone's wondering what the hell a Focomat is, see this post on TCS. There's a pic of the thing.

In the picture is a Focomat V35, now he was offering Focomat that can do up to 6x6 ( type II ?) for 32万円.

An anthracite MP would be nice Bob :)

But would the chrome lenses look good on it is the big question ... ???

Well, there's only one way to find out.

Personally, as much as I like the anthracite MP (as much for its look as its exclusivity) my chrome MP with chrome pre-ASPH 35 Summicron is perfect to these eyes.

Happy hunting-wel enjoy following these exploits.
