March Challenge: Photo and no equipment buying

I'm not buying this month, just selling to repent for my GAS sins. Well the 1958 Kiev/Arsenal J-12 I got on 1st march midnight doesn't counts, neither will the 4/300 P6 Sonnar (I had agreed on it last month) 😀

I'll ask a question in a form posed in some other threads: if February is a month and March is a month, and I didn't buy equipment in February, does that make me a nonbuyer for March?

Hey -- I accumulated points in the past few months...

That's a good point; maybe we should "allow" a system that lets us carry over points, like cell-phone companies allow you to carry over unused minutes. Maybe a system with skip-a-month-each six-month of no buying anything may work here. At least we will have two months a year without buying stuff. :angel:

Brian: I don't think so. Joe will kill me! I have an idea though; those who will buy anything during March 2006 are encouraged to donate free equipment on RFF for at least 10% (or 20%) of the value of the items bought. So if you have bought an item for $200, then you could donate an old lens that you may value at $20-$40.

This darn ROLLEI of all things is making me want it too badly...I like my Meopta TLR and I'd like a specimin that I can actually FOCUS...so why not upgrade a bit? 😉 I'll donate something. My sister is taking the Canonet 28 to Colorado for the weekend and, unless she likes it so much that she wants to keep it, it'll be going bye-bye.

Once you use a Rollei TLR camera, Stephanie, you will never leave it alone and you will be unimpressed by the sharpness (or lack of it) with other lenses. The Rollei TLR has some of the best lenses anywhere at any cost.

People have misunderstood this whole March "do not buy a new camera" thing.

Well, Joe bought a new lens. But the Rolleiflex is obviously used.

Certainly it would not count, and it isn't even an RF so rules made at RFF do not apply.
