March Challenge: Photo and no equipment buying

I'm doing OK so far, not even an urge to purchase a camera. Maybe I should make an appointment with my doctor, I must not be well....

This thread simply shows how much most people like buying equipment. It is an amazing drug ... Leica, Zeiss & others.

Droug? Who's got a Droug? 🙄
But I still like the idea of your original challenge so I am giving specific time to specific photo ideas this month. In other words, instead of just lugging my camera and some lenses around and hoping for the best, I'll have a particular photograph in mind when I go shoot. Which means I'll have an easier walk to & from work--just keeping the p&s camera in my coat pocket--and with a fairly specific thing in mind on my time off, I'll only be carrying what I'll need for that.
We have a crow infestation here in Cortland--food is easier to find here in town so the crows congregate in large flocks(murders?) so I'm going to try to shoot some of them. Not typical birdwatching photos; these birds are fearless and one can get pretty close before they move. Shot some today won't have results 'til the end of the week.
Can us junkies rationalize or what? 😀

Rob,

Set up an owl decoy and the crows will go crazy. I got over 100 crows in my backyard once with 1 owl decoy and 2 crow decoys. More info on this hunting website: http://www.crowbusters.com/begtechn_dc.htm

R.J. ,
There is no problem attracting the dern things--there are plenty this time of year! And if I set up anything to lure more of 'em I might get lynched! If I'm not paying attention on the way home a night, I am startled when I walk under the trees on one particular block--the crows are roosting and while they usually don't get spooked, sometimes they do and burst up out of the trees. And there is another side effect of this mass take off. Haven't had to get my coat cleaned yet though. 😀

Between catching up with others on the forum this morning and working this afternoon, I DID manage to expose four frames on a roll of film. Walkng the talk. It's a long way, however, damn long, from releasing the shutter to washing a print--not even to mention scanning the print for display on the web. No promises.

Sorry, but I broke down beginning on Saturday the 4th when I first "spotted" the Contax IIIa in the "window" looking like a lonely puppy dog needing a home.

After tossing and turning all night (or at least turning to the "enablers" here for advice) I decided to do the "right" thing and purchase "that puppy in the window" yesterday (the 5th).

So I "slid down the slippery slope" real soon.

But honest, I'll try to be good the rest of the month. 😉

Oh, I did shoot some pics too so I wasn't completely bad! 😎
