It's odd that they're only best offering their black version listings.

When I made the offer the seller responded back asking if I would accept the silver version, I declined, they then said Black is Okay and accepted the offer.
If you want a silver version for that price maybe give them a shot.

Yesterday, I have seen some smartly done tests via link provided on Leica forum. At 1.1 your choice of focus for H&S portrait is eyebrows or eyelashes. Contrast is lower, but OK. If focused on texture, like text, corners are weird at 1.1. While central part is sharp and clean enough right from wide open.
And more examples I see, more strange lens OOF rendering feeling I get with outdoor shots on large apertures. It is like door viewer converted to the lens pictures I have seen.

Brian suggeste to use an orange filter with this lens on a Monochrom. The contrast will improve then.

Build quality exceeds expectations.
Handling and balance seem really good on M6 + Leicavit

Image reports might be delayed until I can develop some film ... M9-P in for sensor upgrade, other cameras traded in for M10 which has still not arrived after 5 months :🙁

I don't "need" another 50mm lens as I have many excellent lenses. It may interest me what a Chinese new lens is like. I have three Summicrons 50/2.

Just got mine.
Light weight, clickless aperture.
Soft wide open, and doesnt really improve until f4 or so.
The softness is accompanied by low contrast, which together arent necessarily a deal breaker-- but there is no offsetting distinct character to make it worth it.

Additionally, it arrived drastically miscalibrated-- usable with the EVF only.

The samples posted online, compared to my experience with this lens, MUST have a substantial amount of post processing.

Literally 1/2 hour after opening the package, I sent my return request.
